Chapel Car Ministry is a fascinating period in American Baptist history.
Rev. Stephen Jones: A Native American History Lesson. Rev. Jones has taken
an interest in Native Americans. He will share many stories, including how the
Duwaish Tribe honored him with a glass sculpture.
Rev. Dr. Paul Stevens: Bible study. Bring your Bible and participate in this special time of inspirational learning.
Lois Chiles: Coloring Stress Relief and Enjoyment Join the craze of adult
coloring. Supplies will be provided for a $2.00 fee.
Bob Heacock: Wood Repair & Refinishing Techniques. Bob will share his many
years of experience in woodworking.
Karen Freeman: Exercise A Way to Stay Young. Karen will lead practical
exercises to keep your body young and young at heart.

Lenten and Holy Week Events


Lenten Lunch & Evening Study
On Wednesday, March 9, at 11:30 a.m. and at 6:40 p.m., in addition to the
scriptures, we will discuss the role of prayer in our daily lives as we follow Jesus.
We will be meeting in Rm. 154, the classroom at the far north end of the long
hallway, behind the Roger Williams Room.

Lenten Worship Series:


What Would it Look Like if I Really Tried to Live like Jesus?
March 13: What would it look like if I Forgave like Jesus? (Luke 15)
March 20: Palm/Passion Sunday What would it look like if I Died like Jesus?
Join us as we take a serious look at what it means to live in the example of
Christ. This Lenten season, let us explore the Christs call to pick up our cross
and follow Him.

Holy Week Noon Services, March 21-25


Plymouth Church, 925 Vermont St, invites you to ecumenical worship services
and lunches during Holy Week. This multi-church gathering has been a Lawrence tradition for 42 years. A free will offering will support the Lawrence Ministerial Emergency Fund.
Worship service: 12:00 12:30 p.m. Mon-Thurs. (Friday 121 p.m.)
Lunch: A soup and sandwich lunch daily from 12:30 1 p.m.
(Except for Friday)

Good Friday Service, March 25


First Presbyterian Church, 1245 Clinton Pkwy, will host a combined worship service featuring the Requiem Mass in D minor
by W. A. Mozart sung by the First Presbyterian and First Baptist Chancel choirs accompanied by orchestra. The service
will begin at 7:00 p.m. and all are welcome to attend.
