Adolescence isnt just about wearing prom or wearing sparkly dresses.

During adolescence, the teen shows manifestations of growth as he/she

begins to have friends in school, attend parties, goes to discos and keeps intimate
friends with the same or with the opposite sex. These external manifestations are
sign of socio emotional growth which usher in self knowledge, self identity, social
relationships, what scholars see as an intensification of stereotypical gender roles
(males stand to be different from females).
Adolescene, as expressed in the book the tale of two cities can be the
best of times and the worst of times. While it is a time of excitement, discovery
and joy, it can also open undesirable experiences related to adolescence anxiety
concerns and trouble. Hanging out frequenting parties, and feeling first loves are
typical to adolescents, but are typical to other age groups. Meanwhile, juvenile
violence and drug use frequently occur teenage years. Fortunately, most
adolescents go through happy times amd are able to get themselves together to be
able to go through the next stage of development in adulthood through college
education.

A. Physical Dcevelopment
What physical changes does Cris Joseph experiences?

He undergoes physical development such as broadening of the shoulder, the adams

apple is evident, the voice become more coarse.
Cris height is 151 cm. The average height of a male adolescent is 52-54 ft. So,
shorter than the expected height of a male adolescent.

B. Cognitive Development
How does Josephs thinking different from younger children?
He thinks wisely to the decision he make. He is very responsible in terms of his
school works such as assignments, quizzes and projects. He always has all time
management and very positive in terms of problems.

C. Socio-emotional Development
He is very confident in terms of games and sports, he always look on the
bright side that he can handle and deal with eveything. Such as, when we were
playing badminton, he told us confidently that he can defeat as a no one can come
in his way.

Then as we observe him, we noticed that he is already a aware of his self

identity. The way he speaks to others and he dresses himself and the peers and
groups that he belongs to.

D. Conclusion
However , in the age of 16 he was small at the height of 151 cm. from the
normal height of a boy. He thinks that he was different from other. But in his
actions he is very active, like playing basketball with his neighbor and cousins.
Although he was aware of his self identity, there are people who are willing to help
him to find his self through the phases of identity status of Erik Eriksons theory
on identity.
