Post Title: Legal Assistant

Duration of Contract: 6 months with 3 months probationary period
I. Scope of Work
The main responsibility of the Legal Assistant is to provide support in the conduct of
the operations of the Climate Change Office including its different divisions as
needed.
He/She must have at least 30 units earned under Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor. It
is preferable that he/she is knowledgeable on climate change and the legal concepts
related to it. Also required are abilities to perform Secretariat functions and work with
government representatives from all levels, development partners and other
stakeholders.
Under the overall control and guidance of the Executive Director and the Deputy
Executive Director of the Climate Change Office, the Legal Assistant is expected to:
1. Attend meetings as needed and report the same to the Executive Director and the
Deputy Executive Director.
2. Prepare resolutions and letters to facilitate the tasks of the Legal and Research
Division.
3. Review legal documents such as Resolutions, Contract and others which need
legal attention.
4. Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Climate Change Office, specifically the
Legal and Research Division.
5. Perform other tasks that may be identified by the Executive Director and the
Deputy Executive Director of the Climate Change Office.
II. Working Arrangements
1. The Legal Assistant shall report directly to the Deputy Executive Director, who
shall supervise, review and approve all documents prepared or action taken
by him/her, subject to the final disposition of the Executive Director.

2. The Legal Assistant shall report to CCC-CCO five (5) days in a week and observe
the minimum 8-hour work per day (40-Hour work period per week) exclusive
of the daily one- hour lunch break (12nn to 1pm).
3. Gross monthly compensation shall be in the amount of Php 22,000.00, inclusive of
government taxes, fees and other duties that may be imposed.
The Legal Assistant shall be engaged for six (6) months from April 2015 to
September 2015 with 3 months probation period and possible extension.
