Shirdi Sai Mandir was established as a Non-Profit, 501C

Corporation with a mission to serve all Sai devotees
in DC metropolitan area in 2006. Though, initially the
temple activities were run by dedicated volunteers, a priest
was hired to perform these services in 2008. In 2012, the
temple acquired a 11-acre piece of land on Evergreen Mill
Road and moved in to the property in June 2013 with a
Moorthi Sthapana ceremony. Temple now has 3 priests
and is open 7 days a week and all 4 Aaratis are performed
to Baba. In addition, several other special puja services
being provided weekly, monthly and for festivals. It is the
temples Vision to complete Mandirs phase 2 plans
withlarger prayer hall to fit the needs of fast growing temple
congregationby 2018 on the eve of the 100th year of Baba
Mahasamadhi to better serve the needs of the
growing Sai community of Greater Metropolitan Washington area. For more details please visit our website.

AVG, Inc. is a non-profit organization, 501(C)(3) which

provides opportunity to learn and recite Veda mantras
and stotras. Vedas are the words of the Lord. They are gifts
by the sages to the world. Under Pujya Guru Sri Ananth
Krishnans guidance, AVG Inc. has been successfully
conducting events like MahaRudram, Gayatri Homam, Devi
Mahotsavam etc. AVG provides an opportunity for everyone to learn and recite Veda Mantras & Stotras.

SPECIAL CULTURAL PROGRAM
The panchabuthas make the universe. Each of
the five elements are in Harmony with each
other and that brings a balance in the universe.
However, due to human intervention, when
there is an imbalance, it causes calamities like
earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis etc. How to
bring back the lost balance? The shastras say Perform Maharudram.
Our Shastras say that participating in one Rudra
yagna (one ekadasa -11- Rudram and 1 Rudra
Homam) removes the Pancha Maha Paatakams.
Maharudram is eleven repetitions of an
Ekadasa Rudram.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED to facilitate
making the necessary arrangements. Picture
of Sri Lalitha Parameswari, kumkumam & other
puja materials, including a copy of Sri Lalitha
Sahasranamavali in the language of your
choice will be provided. Participation in
Archana is limited to ladies, and girls older
than 10 years.

The Universal Mother, Maha Tripura Sundari,

is worshipped in many forms. Of the many,
the worship of the Devi in the Sri Chakra - the
mystical geometric representation of the
Transcendental Supreme Goddess, is done
by many upasakas. This chakra in a three
Dimensional Form that rises like a pyramid, is
called The Meru. The Bindhu or the Apex is the
seat of Sri Maha Tripura Sundari, the Supreme
Mother.

The Nava Chandi Homam to be performed as

a part of the Maharudram is a special one. It
includes chanting of the Devi Mahatmyam,
also known as Durga Sapthasathi, 10 times
followed by a Homam with the special
dravyams and ahuthis. This special prayer to the
Goddess blesses the devotees with everything
that is required by the devotees for all their
material and well as spiritual growth.
