Majorchangesinthe2015HypeCycleforEmergingTechnologies(seeFigure1)includetheplacementof
autonomousvehicles,whichhaveshiftedfromprepeaktopeakoftheHypeCycle.Whileautonomousvehicles
arestillembryonic,thismovementstillrepresentsasignificantadvancement,withallmajorautomotive
companiesputtingautonomousvehiclesontheirneartermroadmaps.Similarly,thegrowingmomentum(from
posttriggertoprepeak)inconnectedhomesolutionshasintroducedentirelynewsolutionsandplatforms
enabledbynewtechnologyprovidersandexistingmanufacturers.

technologiesattherighttimewillbecritical,"saidMs.Burton."AswehavesetoutontheGartnerroadmapto
