Postdoc Positions Available at UCSD

Full-time postdoctoral positions are available at UC San Diego. We are looking for a highly motivated
postdoctoral research fellow to join our laboratory. The research in our lab is focused on the interfaces
of epigenetics, DNA repair and transcription. We are interested in structural and functional studies of
protein-DNA complexes in chromatin remodeling, transcription regulation, DNA damage recognition,
and DNA damage processing pathways using a combination of structural biology, biochemical,
chemical biology and genetic approaches (http://pharmacy.ucsd.edu/labs/wang/).
Qualifying candidates should have a Ph.D. degree (within the last two years) or expect to have a Ph.D.
degree this year in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Molecular Biology, Structural Biology, Microbiology,
Genetics, Chemistry, or related disciplines. Those with a strong background in Chromatin Biology,
Epigenetics, DNA Replication and Transcription Regulation, DNA Damage and Repair, and
Protein and Nucleic Acids Biochemistry are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants should
have a solid research experience in Enzymology, Biochemistry, Structural Biology, and Yeast
Genetics. Applicants are also expected to be familiar with the following experimental skills such as
molecular cloning, site-specific mutagenesis, protein expression and purification, chromatin
immunoprecipitation (ChIP), Co-IP, tissue culture, rapid quench-flow, and stopped-flow. In addition,
applicants should have the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team with excellent
written and oral communication skills, and a strong background and publication record.
