SUMMARY OF CLINICAL EFFICACY STUDY

Effect of IMC Aloe Berry Juice, a Proprietary Ayurvedic Medicine in the


Management of various Psycho-Somatic Disorders

Abstract
A clinical trial was conducted to evaluate the effect of IMC Aloe Berry Juice, a proprietary
Ayurvedic Medicine in 22 patients with various types of Psycho-Somatic Disorders, aged
between 25 and 67 years, who were attending the out patient department and were not on any
medication, presenting with weakness, improper digestion, insomnia, mild high blood pressure,
numbness, anaemia and weakness of memory., were enrolled in the study, after obtaining their
informed consent.
IMC Aloe Jyoti Berry Juice contains the following herbs: Ghritkumari Juice ( Aloe
barbadensis) has been known to possess Sheetvirya, Bhedan, Pachan, Balya and Shothhar
activity, Leh Berry Juice (Hippophae salicifolia), is recommended to improve blood pressure,
blood-cholesterol and having anti-oxidant and anti-aeging activity, Tulsi Leaf Extract (Ocimum
sanctum) known as shaumya, pratidushak and Pachak. Adrak (Zingiber officinale) as aampaachak and agnideepak, Amla (Emblica officinalis) having properties as amlapittahara,

rasayan and tridoshhara. Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana) as natural sweetner. Kesar (Crosus
sativus) as deepan, paachan, balya and manah prashadhan ,Eliachi (Elettaria
cardamom) as Deepan, paachan, rochan, sugandhit and mukhshodhak, Kewara Ark
(Pandanus fascicularis), Gulab Ark (Rosa damascene)as tridoshhara, hriddya, paustik
and kosthashodhak, Nagarmotha (Cyperus scariosus) as deepan, paachan and medhya,
Giloy (Tinospora cordifolia) as tridoshhara, rasayan and balya, Punarnava (Boerhavia
diffura) as vayasthaapak, rasayan and balya, Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) as
balkaarak, shukravardhak and rasayan, Shankhpushpi (Convonvulus pluricaulis) as
balya, vrishya, medhya and deepa, and Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) as smritivardhak,
rasayan, medhya and tanavshaamak.
A complete history and detailed examination were undertaken. The patients were instructed to
take 25 ml IMC Aloe Berry Juice twice a day for three weeks. The pre-treatment analysis were
done on following sign & symptoms (psycho-somatic parameter);

RESULTS
At the end of the administration period, it was found that the IMC Aloe Berry Juice had
considerably reduced General Debilty, Fatique, Anorexia, Loss of Appetite and Indigestion.

Also the patients showed remarkable improvement after using IMC Aloe Berry Juice as
prescribed and were relieved from symptoms such as Pale Skin, Leg Cramps, stiffness of

arms and legs and insomnia (symptoms of anemia and nerve weakness). Patients also showed
remarkable improvement in difficulty in concentrating, anxiety and mental fatigue. Study
demonstrates that there were positive improvement in weight and blood pressure of subjects
after administration of IMC Aloe Berry Juice. Two patients did not report for follow-up
examination and were excluded from the study.

Most of the patients reported that they regained very good ability to work, both physically and
mentally. These patients felt significant improvement in general feeling. Nearly all the patients
showed an increase in their appetite and reasonable improvement in their digestion, bowel
activity and flatulence. 10 patients gained weight by 1 kg or more within three weeks probably
due to improved appetite, digestion and bodily functions.

Conclusion
It may be concluded that IMC Aloe Berry Juice are effective and safe in the management of
various psycho-somatic disorders. IMC Aloe Berry Juice found very effective in relieving
symptoms related to weakness, anemia, nervous weakness, memory weakness, heart weakness,
indigestion and liver impairment.
So it is concluded that IMC Aloe Berry Juice is useful in strengthening nervous system,
heart, mind and liver. Helps to increase haemoglobin and gives energy to the body.
Enhances memory and makes the body strong and powerful.
It is further recommended to conducting long term efficacy study for detailed reporting and
documentation.
