Introduction
Grilling has existed in the Americans since pre-colonial. The Arawak people of
South America roasted meat on a wooden structure called a barbacoa in Spanish.
For centuries, the term barbacoa referred to the wooden structure and not the act of
grilling, but it was eventually modified to "barbeque.
It was also applied to pi-style cooking techniques now frequently used in the South
Eastern United States.
Barbeque was originally used to slow-cooks hogs however, different ways of preparing
food led to regional variations.
E.G Kingsford invented the modern charcoal briquette. Kingsford was a relative of
henry ford.
Ford assigned Kingsford the task of establishing a ford auto parts plant and saw mill
in northern Michigan, a challenge that Kingsford embraced. The local
community
swelled and was named Kingsford in his honor. Kingsford noticed that fords model
production lines were generating a large amount of wood scraps that were
being
discarded. Kingsford suggested to ford that a charcoal manufacturing facility be
established next to the assembly line to process and sell charcoal under the ford name
in ford leaderships.
Several years after Kingsfords death, the chemical company was sold the local
business man and renamed the Kingsford chemical company.

Hypothesis
1. It is advisable for people use solar heated grill.
2. It is cheaper than the commercial one.
3. Both grills are effective but our grill is more resourceful one.
Definition of Terms
Durability- staying strong and in good condition over a long period of time.
Efficiency- the ability to do something or produce something without wasting materials,
time or
energy.
Solar- produced by using the suns light or heat.
Ultraviolet Ray- used to describe rays of light that cannot be seen.
Usefulness- the quality of having utility and especially practical worth or applicability.
Hotdog - A commonly-used (but etymologically obscure) term for a sausage that is
usually eaten in a bun with ketchup, mustard, and/or relish.
Grill - .Outdoor cooking appliance .To cook food above charcoal, gas or other means of
heat. (typically outside) .
Tin Foil - A wrapping substance to keep food fresh.
Skewer - is a thin metal or wood stick used to hold pieces of food together. They are used
while grilling or roasting meats, and in other culinary applications.
Methodology
This product is composed of shoe box or cardboard, masking tape, stick
and aluminium foil.
Select a long narrow box; the longer the box the more heat collection is
possible. One template could be use for all the cookers. Trace the curve on the open end
of the box so that it is centered and straight.
Cut out the curve with a cutter. Stress the importance of being exact.
Measure and cut a piece of aluminium foil that will fix against the opening to the box.
Attach this with tape beginning at the center and working toward to edges.
Cover the curve by aluminium foil then put masking tape around. Start in
the middle and smooth toward the edges. Try not to wrinkle or fold the foil; you want it
as smooth as possible.
Use two scraps of cardboard taped to each side as supports. Make a hole
for the skewer. Then u have now solar heated grill.

This Pie Graph shows that the survey of solar heated grill. This graph
shows that solar heated grill is not good in Durability but almost good in efficiency and
usefulness. In our terms students want us to have more Durability to use it often.
Findings
According to our study, we found that it is more efficient to use it for campers.
Its easier to use it if its sunny. It is a success when its sunny or in summer. The heater
the sun the more effective to cook faster and the long box it can get more heat.
Conclusion
The researcher therefore conclude that the solar heated grill is more cheaper than
the commercial ones and it cant produce polluted air and it is economical since we live
in a tropical country. The materials are not expensive. Produce hotdog is the same as it
cooked in the grill. This definitely developed in as the value of resourcefulness.
Recommendation
The researcher would like to recommend more study about solar and radiation
as using for cooking and accurate procedure.
