NARRATIVE

On the above date and time I, Deputy Seth Brown of the Haywood County Sheriffs Office,
arrested Robert Hugh Barton following a vehicle chase on NC 209. Mr. Barton was arrested and
charged with two counts of Felony Flee to Elude, two counts of Felony Possession of Schedule
II, Misdemeanor Possession of Schedule VI, Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia,
three counts of Felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon on Government Official, Felony Assault of

Narrative

Law Enforcement Officer Inflicting Serious Injury, Misdemeanor Resist Public Officer, and
Misdemeanor Injury to Personal Property. Mr. Barton was transported to the Haywood County Sheriffs
Office, served, processed, and taken before Magistrate Henline who remanded him to the Haywood
County Detention Center under $150,000 secured bond.
*Mr. Barton would not comply with being fingerprinted or providing a DNA sample.
**Mr. Barton was also charged with DWI by NCSHP Trooper Hunter Hooper.
***Mr. Barton has outstanding warrants for arrest for Felony Flee to Elude Arrest, Reckless
Driving, and Resist Public Officer from the Buncombe County Sheriffs Office.
