45 MFDUAMCO
The MFDUAMCO (multistandard flexible duplexer
amplifier multicoupler) is a combining module with the
following general functions:
Combining of GSM and WCDMA radio signals
Duplexing of the RX and the TX path, to be fed to
a common antenna
Amplifying and splitting of the RX signal from the
antenna to the CUs
Coupling of the TX paths from several CUs to the
antenna
RET (remote tilt) and TMA (tower mounted amplifier) signaling
Power supply for two optional TMAs
Antenna monitoring

g Each MFDUAMCO houses two modules with a shared power supply and antenna
monitor. The upper one is called Module 0, the lower one Module 1.
The MFDUAMCO has two different operating modes:
The high amplifying AMCO mode
The low amplifying MUCO mode for use with the tower-mounted amplifier (TMA) or
in a multicoupler cascade

MFDUAMCO

Signaling
The MFDUAMCO supports the following methods of signaling:
bidirectional HDLC: RET (Remote Electrical Tilt) and Dual-TMA signaling at
2.2 MHz. Only available at ANT0 connector.
TMA signaling at 7.7 MHz
TMA power supply current supervision
The applicable signaling method is detected automatically.

The MFDUAMCO configuration can be changed by adding additional modules:
1:1 configuration: MFDUAMCO only
1 carrier is combined to 1 antenna port.
2:1 configuration: MFDUAMCO with HYBRID4
2 carriers are combined to 1 antenna port.
4:1 configuration: MFDUAMCO with HYBRID4 and COAMCO8
