Robert Lee Simpkins

I served the Radford Fire
Department for 41 years
as a career fire fighter
and began my association with the Radford Fire
Department as a volunteer.
I was born and
raised in Radford and
have a deep loyalty and
dedication to the city I
have called home my entire life. I graduated from
Radford High School in
1970 and went to New
River Community College
earning an Associates
degree in Business Management in 1972.

I am committed to a city where young families

The Elderly and Aging:

I realize that it is often challenging to make ends
meet on a fixed income. I am dedicated to maintaining a low tax rate so that those who have
worked hard can remain self-sufficient in retirement.

Expanding our reach:

I believe that it is important to reach out to
and develop positive working relationships
with state and federal elected officials.
Having our local government and local
elected officials partner with those on the
state and federal level to access the resources is necessary to reinvigorate Rad-

fords economy.
