These stones are rooted in the earth but share the color
of the sky. Line them up along a lovely silk ribbon for a Desert Flowers
light floating quality. Perfect with beachwear or on your Paulette Livers
winter trip to the desert. Bring this necklace out in the
coming cold months to revive the spice of summer.

Materials 2 gold-filled 4mm rounds


5 aquamarine 3×5mm fac- 1 Bali silver 8mm daisy
eted rondelles spacer
1 turquoise 5mm rondelle 6 gold-filled 3" head pins
2 butterscotch aventurine 36" of hand-dyed gold silk Wrapped Loop

Step 4: Use a head pin to string the square. Bend the head
pin up 90° from the hole. Form a wrapped loop.
Step 5: Use a head pin to string 1 aquamarine, the daisy
spacer, and the rectangle. Bend the head pin up 90° from
the hole. Form a wrapped loop.
Step 6: Use a head pin to string 1 turquoise rondelle, 1 aven-
turine, and 1 oval; form a wrapped loop.
Step 7: String the pendants to the center of the ribbon, leav-
ing 1" of ribbon between each pendant. To wear the

necklace, tie the ribbon in a bow at the back of the neck.
