LEARNING OBJECTIVES
(what do you want to
achieve from doing the
subject)
RESOURCES &
STRATEGIES (how are you
going to achieve your
objectives)
WHAT IS TO BE ASSESSED
(Outline the deliverables
what are you going to
produce)
CRITERIA FOR
ASSESSMENT (What are
the minimum pass
requirements)
1. A model of a manufacturing
based supply chain using
timed hierarchical coloured
Petri Nets will be modelled
in the CPN Tool software
which can gives us an
option to simulate different
conditions of delivery .
2. The inputs required in the
primary
level
for
this
modelling will seek the
order processing rate
from the manufacturers
end to associated sections
within the supply chain,
product hourly demand
rate, backlogs, time delays
and any delay in processing
the order.
3. Statistical analysis using
Microsoft Excel will be
carried out to calculate the
variance,
mean
square
deviation in parameters.
This will then be compared
with the standard values
and any major deviation
will help us understand the
presence of bullwhip effect.
1. Successful completion of a
supply chain model in CPN
Tools using coloured Petri
Nets.
2. Different critical points in
the supply chain where the
results deviate from the
standard values (tolerable
limits)
will
be
further
analysed to investigate the
impact of bullwhip effect in
it and other processes
associated
with
it.
3. Suggestions & solutions
to mitigate the bullwhip
effect & identify any recent
trends in the case study.
4. Document
the
collected
information
and
the
important findings from the
project with suggestions to
rectify or change certain
areas of concern.
NOTE: THIS IS NOT YOUR PROJECT PROPOSAL. Based on this contract, you need to work on preparing and finalising
your project proposal. Please check the Subject Outline and UTSOnline for more details.
