This Commercial Engine Bulletin (CEB) has effect on all Rolls-Royce M250-B17, -B17F,
-C20, and -C20R Series engines.

Reason
The purpose of this CEB is to improve the misalignment capability of the N2 shafting with the
introduction of the following two new parts:
-Turbine Shaft to Pinion Gear Coupling (P/N M250-10415)
- Power Turbine Outer Shaft (P/N M250-1 0416)

Description
At next overhaul, or repair activity where the power turbine outer shaft is removed, a new power
turbine outer shaft and turbine shaft to pinion gear coupling must be installed. These two parts
must be installed together and must NOT be installed in any combination with earlier part
numbers.

Technical aspects are FAA approved.

E.

Compliance
Compliance Code 4: To be complied with the next time the affected module or component is at
an authorized repair/overhaul facility and the power turbine rotor is disassembled for any
reason.

F.

Interchangeability
All changes specified in this CEB must be incorporated simultaneously.

The new turbine shaft to pinion gear coupling (P/N M250-1 0415) and the new power
turbine outer shaft (P/N M250-1 0416) must always be used together.

NOTE:

The turbine shaft to pinion gear coupling is now symmetrical with the identifiable
scallops on both ends and can be installed in either direction.

New P/Ns M250-10415 and M250-10416 must NOT be used in any combination with
earlier part numbers.

ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Disassembly of the Power Turbine.

(1)

Remove the power turbine shaft to pinion gear coupling (Ref. OHM).

(2)

Remove the power turbine outer shaft (Ref. OHM).

Assembly of the Power Turbine.

(1)

Install the new power turbine outer shaft (M250-1 0416) (Ref. OHM).

(2)

Install the new power turbine shaft to pinion gear coupling (M250-1 0415) (Ref. OHM).

NOTE:

Do the pressure test.

A new detail for the power turbine rotor pressure test fixture (23006303-1) will be
needed to accommodate the reduced ID of the new power turbine outer shaft during
the pressure test called out in the overhaul manual.

Record compliance with this CEB in the applicable section of the engine logbook, engine
assembly (white pages), Part Ill, Modification Record and the Component Accessory Record
Card as applicable with the following:
