Visa requirements for citizens of Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay

Tourist Visa:
e-Tourist Visa (e-TV) on arrival
The Government of the Republic of India has incorporated the program e-Tourist Visa (eTV) for nationals of Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay whose sole objective of visiting
India is recreation, sightseeing, casual visit to meet friends or relatives.
In order to apply for the e-TV, you will need to click on this link
https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/tvoa.html, fill up the form in English and print it, and
once you receive a confirmation email stating that the visa has been approved, you will be
able to travel and go straight to the stand of e-tourist visa at the airport of entry, your will
finish the procedure there.
This visa has the following requirements:
- It is free for nationals of Argentina and Uruguay. For nationals of Paraguay, it costs
- The validity of the visa will be 30 days from the date of arrival in India.
- e-Tourist Visa (eTV) once issued on arrival is Only single entry
- Applicants may apply online minimum 4 days in advance of the date of arrival with and
up to 30 days before the trip.
- To complete the form, you will be asked to upload a digital picture (Passport type, clear
background, and facing front); and a scanned image of the first page of your passport.
- You can only apply for the e-TV twice per year.
- You will be asked to show your Yellow Fever Certificate at the time of arrival in India at
the migratory offices.
Regular tourist visas:
To apply for Regular tourist visa, you need to take all the documentation to the Embassy in
person (or someone else can present the documentations in your place) from Monday to
Friday from 10 to 12.30 hs without previous appointment. Required documentation:
- Passport with 6 months validity or more.
- Printed Regular Visa application form (should be completed through this link
- 2 colour pictures 5x5 (white background, facing front)
- International Yellow Fever Certificate.
- It is free for nationals of Argentina and Uruguay. For nationals of Paraguay, it costs
This Visa has 6 months validity since it is issued with multiple entries.

The process takes between 5 and 10 working days.

Business Visas:
The requirements for business visas are equal to Regular Tourist Visas but the fees are
different and you should also add the following documentation:
- An invitation letter from the Indian company that is inviting the applicant in English.
- A letter from the company (in their letterhead) giving details of their activities, products
and services, the details of the business proposed to be done in India and contact of
Indian companies and organisations which are being visited..
- The applicant should attach his business card to the visa application.
- It is free for nationals of Argentina. For nationals of Paraguay and Uruguay, it costs

Visa Pick-Up
You can personally pick up the visa or send someone with an authorization from Monday
to Friday from 10 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 16.30 hs.

Yellow Fever International Certificate

- Visa applications of nationals of Argentina and Paraguay should attach this certificate.
- This certificate is mandatory as requested by Indian Health Authorities. The WHO states
that Argentina and Paraguay are countries with risk of yellow fever transmission as well
as other countries in Latin America. Uruguay is free of risk.

CABA). If you live outside Buenos Aires, you will have to get in touch with Health Ministry
to find out which institution provides that certificate in your province.

- You should take into consideration that the vaccine is valid only 10 days after you got
vaccinated. For this reason, it is mandatory that you get vaccinated in advance before
traveling to India (it is not necessary to wait as many days to do the Visa, as long as you
have the certificate, it is ok).
- Any person who has lived or stayed in Argentina and/or Paraguay, and even Indians
who visit Argentina and/or Paraguay need to get vaccinated.
- The certificate is valid for 10 years.
- Without this certificate, the Embassy is not allowed to issue Visas.
- Without this certificate, Health authorities in India can place visitors in quarantine for 6
days upon arrival in India or you may even face deportation.
- The only ones exempted from the vaccine are kids younger than 6 months old and
people with severe health issues such as diabetes, cancer or heart diseases that cannot
get vaccinated. If that is the case, India authorities will request the certificate of exemption
attached to a certificate issued by a pertinent public authority.
