Program(s)/Tools:

Learn how to use Adobe Illustrator pen tool and to apply the most relevant
color scheme for a company, based on their product.

Process:

I created a new document 3.5 in. x 2 in. with Adobe Illustrator: I placed
the color scheme file to pick the appropriate color scheme, I picked the
complementary color scheme and I placed two rectangles (one blue on
the lower half and the other peach yellow on the upper half). I created a
new layer for my logo, I used the pen tool to recreated a seagull silhouette
and a surfboard. I created a rectangle with round corners as a part of
the logos background with a blue stroke and added it Seagull surfboard

Program(s)/Tools:

Adobe Illustrator and Sublime Text (code editor).

Objectives:

Learn HTML,CSS, image sizing for web design and web page visual display
effectiveness.

Process:
This project was based on a given HTML/CSS file.I changed the
body copy background (from brown to white), with the intention to
increase clarity. I also changed the body copy color (from beige to
dark brown) and doubled the font size. All the colors applied on the
web page were picked from a previous logo design, by using Adobe
Photoshop eyedropper tool. It provided the exact hex color code,
so I the colors were exactly the same. I also picked three different
fonts (web safe fonts) to secure a professional body copy and
headings.

Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Indesign.

Objectives:

Learn to create a double sided design implementing my Adobe Illustrator

and Indesing skills.

Process:

I used Illustrator to design the companys logo (a white Yoga silhouette

inside of a green circle with dark green outline ), I created a new Indesign
document (two pages/columns) and placed the companys logo on the
center of the first page/right column. On the first page/left column, I placed
the Yoga silhouette. I copied the companys name and pasted it next to
the logo vertically. I applied a visual connection between the left and right
column. On the second page, I applied visual repetition by using the top
and bottom rectangle with a wavy line on both pages. I created three circles
(with images inside) and placed them along the two different background
colors. to create visual direction from left to right.

Objectives:

Learn to eliminate hard edges on extracted images and color balance.

Process:

I painted a letter size canvas black with the paint bucket tool. I placed Bob
Marleys image and added a layer mask.I zoomed into the image 50%,
picked a soft mechanical brush and set it to 70 px size.I set the brush
opacity/flow to 55%,before I started black painting away around the image
face and hair. After a few repetitions, the image was gradually blending with
the background, fading away all the hard edges.I pressed command+T
and tilt it (30 degrees). I used the rectangle tool to create three stripes
(red, yellow and green) on the lower right corner , I aligned them in a parallel
way with Bob's image.I typed in a quote, changed the color on three worlds
using the eyedropper tool and used grey on the rest of the text. I also typed
in Bob Marley with different font -Stackyard- but same color.

A composition that requires photography and Adobe Photoshop skills.

Process:

I used Adobe Photoshop to edit an outdoor photo taken at the beach. I

adjusted the photos colors by using the Image/Adjustment/Levels-Vibrance
feature and the Edit/Transform/Wrap feature to fold down the image top left
corner. Since blue was the photos dominant color, I picked the blue color
scheme for the rest of my design. I had to open colorWheel.jpg and used
the eyedropper tool to get the blue colors from the color wheel.
