Employee Survey:
ThyssenKrupp Elevator Asia Pacic results

he results of the Global Employee Survey conducted last October have been released. TKE AP management are eager to understand
employees feedback and suggestions, and to make concrete improvements in the corresponding areas. There are a set of common areas
for action globally that include customer-focus,quality and atmosphere of openness and trust which are aligned with our business areas
priorities. Im keen to see analysis of results and discussions specic to country levels, so that employees can identify with action plans relevant to
their work and close to their heart, said Peter Walker (CEO, TKE AP).

Customer-focus
Employees feedback suggests that we have been
moving towards the right direction in addressing
our customers needs. Yet, it is critical that we
proactively seek to understand our customers
requirements and expectations. By enhancing our
internal processes
and
cross-functional
collaboration, we can then develop the best
possible solutions for our customers to further
improve our competitiveness.
Tobias Engelmeier (VP, Sales, TKE AP) said,
We are starting to implement Net Promoter
Score (NPS) survey among customers not only
after the installation phase but also throughout
the sales process to track their satisfaction
levels and purchasing experience with TKE in
order to monitor the points for improvement
more systematically. Besides that we are also
aligning our oering and sales approach to
target more towards specic customer
segments.

Quality
Employees suggest that there is room to
improve in the belief of product and service
quality that our company provides. We all
know that quality is fundamental to our
company, and we are committed to
safeguarding it. To provide best quality for our
customers, the required quality must be
delivered in every step of the value chain,
including design, supply, installation and
maintenance.

Atmosphere of openness and trust

Employees are the most important cornerstone
of the company. Introduction of this
group-wide employee survey demonstrates
that we value feedback from our employees at
ThyssenKrupp.
Dannie Yu (CHRO, TKE AP) said, At TKE AP,
we are keen to ensure that employees work in
an atmosphere of openness and trust, in order
for them to generate the best ideas to address
the aggressive business plans eectively. We
can see that the corporate culture
transformation in this direction has to continue!
In order to do so, we want to dig deeper into
the Operating Units to better understand their
feedback and suggestions. We shall explore in
the follow-up phase to devise tailored
improvement plans for each OU.

We already have structured analysis systems

that help us monitor and drive quality
improvements, such as non-conformity reports
and product change requests. Our regular AP
Quality meetings bring together experts in the
value chain to identify pain points from these
analysis, and jointly work on improvement
plans. We are keen to capture more
improvement ideas from various parts of the
value chain, including frontline technicians,
into the product design phase, commented
Kelly Truax (VP, Service, TKE AP) said, In
Bo Chen (VP, Manufacturing, TKE AP).
addition to the successful rollout of the NPS for
Service, we have also carried out a number of
customer workshops around Asia Pacic. We
