Policies & Procedures

To stream line process of legal affairs in SPL.


All laws affecting Shangrila directly such as;
1. Food authorities matters.
2. Packaging related legal matters
3. Competition laws
4. Intellectual property laws
5. Local bodies legal matters e.g. TMA, PHA etc.
6. Cyber laws and PTA directives
7. Operational laws such as Boiler laws, weight and scales laws etc.
8. Environmental laws
9. Property laws and allied legal matters
10. Taxation and corporate law assistance. For these matters separate
specialist consultant service are available.
11. Any other legal affairs affecting SPL business.
Following matters are not covered in this policy. For these matters separate
consultant/employee is already available.
1. Taxation matters
(done by Taxation person in Finance in
collaboration with FRSH)
2. Labour Laws (done by Senior Manager HAT in collaboration with
Ghani Industrial Law)
3. Corporate and secretarial practices matters (done by Chief Financial
Officer)
1. Company may seek legal advisory and assistance on any legal
matter directly affecting business and operational matters.
2. All agreements, external mass communications (such as
advertisements and website pages) shall be sent first for legal review
before execution.
3. All food notices shall be sent for recordings and follow-up in
accordance with Document No. 00001170.
4. All matters related to Intellectual Property shall be lead by

6. Comments/remarks by Manager Legal shall not be considered as
compulsory; SPL or concerned Departmental Head may undertake
necessary action in light of prevailing scenario and related business
risks.

departmental head provides a signed copy thereof final
to Manager Legal for his records and onward signature
uploading of the agreement on Document Control of
System as per Document no. 0000819.
