Created in 1871, the NEOMA Business School Rouen Campus (previously known as Rouen School of
Management) is the second oldest school of management in France. The School is a member of the EFMD
(European Foundation for Management Development), of the Chapter of Graduate Schools of Management which
is part of the Conference des Grandes Ecoles and is also a member of the AACSB. On 24 April 2013, Rouen
Business School and Reims Management School announced the merger of the two Schools into a single entity.
The new school will be jointly headed by its Chairman, Yves Bnard (the former Chairman of Reims Management
School) and its Dean, Frank Bostyn. NEOMA Business School has a dual purpose: to be ranked among the best
European schools, and to be recognized as a key corporate partner. In order to serve the interests of all its
stakeholders as well as possible, the new entity will leverage the skills and strengths that have made excellence
the hallmark of both founding Schools

French Language Course
Intensive French course is optional. Have to take online French placement test first.
Other academic notes: Bachelor programs offer 6 ECTS (36 contact hours) courses. In
the Master program, all business and social science courses are 5 ECTS (24 contact
hours).
Since SMU students are usually nominated in the Master program, they can only take 5
ECTS business/social science courses and French Language and French Civilization
which are 5 ECTS courses that have 30 contact hours.
To counter the imbalance of the workload between SMU and RBS, SMU students must
take at least 5 courses of 5 ECTS each on exchange.
Students can take courses taught in French, but they must have a CEFR score of B2
minimum or TEF score of at least 500.
Course Registration
All courses are open to international exchange students and planning is done so all
courses are available to students. Students should register on-line. At the beginning of
each semester, there is an add-drop period. Students must then make their final course
selection. It is their responsibility to have their selection approved by their home school.
