TheBoardsinvestigationwasfair,rigorousandimpartial.TheBoardsinvestigationreportwas

TheNEBtakesdiscussionsaboutpipelinesafetyseriouslyregardlessofwheretheyoccur.Wewill

FurthertocomplaintsreceivedregardingtheconductofBoardstaff,aninternalreviewwas
conductedofstaffsresponsetowhistleblowerreporting,includinginteractionsofstaffwiththe
whistleblowerandindustryrepresentatives.Furthertothereview,itwasdeterminedthat
improvedguidancetostaffregardingwhistleblowerreportsandassociatedcommunications,and
improvementstotheBoardsproceduresforprocessingwhistleblowercomplaintswasrequired.
TheNEBhasrecentlydevelopedadetailedwhistleblowerproceduretoclarifyexpectationsofstaff
inrespondingtowhistleblowerallegations,andinteractionsbetweenstaff,whistleblowersand
industryrepresentatives.Thoseprocedureswillsoonbereleasedpublicly.

thisemailwasdeterminedtoonlybenecessaryforalimitedtimeinamatterthattheBoardchose
