SENSORY-REASONING

Kindly read this first.

I desperately seek inner-reform. This work is the outcome of that desperation. I am presenting that
which can help me. I hope this work will also help those who need it. Being a layman I do not want
to give any instruction. I will humbly provide my understanding in that format which helped me to
understand. Here I am trusting my reasoning sense to guide me. My use of word is non-technical and
unscholarly. So be careful if you are searching for authentic and scholarly material. I want to politely
add one more thing; that is if you do not wish to think then please dont read it because it will be a
complete waste of your time. I hope this work inspires them who wish to think diligently. I also hope
that this work can support them in their endeavour of thinking who wish to live life according to
their own understanding; a truly in-dependent life.
My work may appear critical:
I am not trying to be critical. I am a simple person with a simple quest to reach clarity. I have tried to
prove to myself mundane issues but the purpose is to make myself doubt-free, to have a deeper
sense on everything and to test my reasoning sense upon mundane affairs so that I can gain
confidence to tackle issues which are considered more important. Though for me every issue is
important.
To enjoy this work as I have enjoyed deep focus is needed, according to my experience.
Some words on Sensory-Reasoning.
Finding out the reason is not enough we should also put some effort to feel it. By this way we give
space to rational ideas in our awareness of that moment. In a simple sense; here we will practice to
guide our senses by diligent reasoning.
I will request you to read very slowly. After every full-stop kindly stop to create some image, with
which you can easily relate, of your understanding and then guide your inner-focus to become aware
of that understanding. Therefore understand, imagine and feel your understanding. Do this for every
line. Try not to miss a single line. Next is; do not read any sentence underneath the heading
observing ... before speculating it. Try to speculate every sentence and then read it.
My motive behind every sentence is to expand an idea or it is a logical necessity or it is a necessity
created from the experience of the previous statement.
I hope your active participation brings you your inner-reform. Begin with love and care for yourself.

Why should we do anything at all?

Basic outline:
We have to understand what work is. This means we will try to understand what constitutes work.
After this we will try to understand what does living constitutes. Then we will compare those
constituents of both work and living. By comparing the two we will get the answer. Here we have
to keep in mind that our observation should be according to the question therefore it has to be
limited. Here we will limit our probe till that which is absolutely essential or simply essential.
Observing work:
1. Work is that which is done. That which is done needs a doer. The doer is also the worker who
does the work. Work is that which a worker does. Without a worker work cannot exist. When
we observe work we see someone doing it. In this case it is us as the worker who is questioning
the necessity of work.
2. For work to happen worker has to do work. Without this doing of work or of the work is not
done then work wont exist. We can say here that working of the worker makes work happen.
Now our focus will be to understand working or doing of work.
Working involves change. This change is brought when a worker is working. It is the worker
who is responsible for the change.
3. The worker who is involved in this change should be aware of it. Otherwise the change will
not be identified by the worker and therefore he/she can be free from work because there will be
no working according to him/her. Therefore awareness of this change is also very important for
work to exist for someone or the worker.
Summary: Work is worker plus working. Working is change brought by worker plus awareness
of change by the worker. Therefore, work is worker plus change brought by worker plus
awareness of change by the worker. We see work essentially constitutes three parts.

Observing living:
1. Living is related to someone who has life.
2. Someone who has life should have the capacity to experience life or is aware of life. Otherwise
he, she or it cannot say he, she or it is alive.
3. When awareness or experience of life is possible then that mean there is someone who is
going to experience something other than itself. That experience or awareness of that other thing
can be changeless or can be subjected to change.
4. A changeless experience let us know of a condition which is difference-less. In this condition
then there will be no different objects. All will be same then. This is not what life is otherwise this
present endeavour would have been impossible. Anything which involve different ideas, activity,
experience... etc. will not be possible.

5. If that experience is not changeless then it involves change. In this condition there can be
different ideas, activity, experience... etc. We know from our experience life is such!
6. From 4 and 5 we can say that someone who is experiencing life is also experiencing change
otherwise in life variety is impossible.
7. Now consider statement number 1. The relation between living and someone who has life can
be elaborated as living is related to someone who is aware of change while having life.
8. Without these three such as someone, awareness (or when someone is aware) and change
there will exist no relation with living. Then living will not be related to anything else. When living
cannot be related then it cannot be understood too because there will not be someone. In that
case it can be said the identity of living will not exist for us or that someone. Therefore it has to be
said that identity of living completely depends on those three ideas. Therefore for further clarity it
can be said that living includes someone who is aware of change.
Summary: Living is related to someone who is alive. This relation is absolutely necessary for living
to maintain its identity. Therefore it can be said living equals someone who is alive or someone
who is aware of being alive or someone is aware of change while being alive. Living is
dependent on 1.someone, 2. awareness of that someone and 3. experience of change.

Comparison of work and living:

Work essentially constitutes of worker, change and awareness of the worker. Living
constitutes someone, change and awareness of someone. In essence someone and worker
are same. Therefore both work and living have same essential constituents in essence. This mean
work is living and living is work.
The outcome of this comparison is we cannot continue living if we want to stop work. As long we
are alive that long we are doing work.
Note: The word life, living or staying alive is used in its general sense which is worldly life or living
in world or staying alive in the world.
