Gum Chewing
I think gum should be allowed at school. People are be-
ing punished because other people are spitting the gum on
the school grounds and chewing it in classrooms. About ¼ of
the school spits there gum on campus. The other ¾’s of the
school doesn’t, and because of that we
are not allowed to chew gum. I think
the school rule should be the following:
If caught chewing gum and spitting
on the school grounds, then they
should not be able to chew gum for the
rest of the year. Other people shouldn’t
get punished for other people’s actions.

Wendy Murtagh

On September 26, 2008 I talked to Wendy Murtagh. Wendy is a professional Para that works
with the some of our students. She likes her job but it can sometimes be difficult when the stu-
dents are crabby. Wendy has been working here at Hillcrest for two years now and she loves it.
Her favorite part is working with the students, and the co-workers. Wendy works for seven hours
and she is very tired at the end of the day especially when the students keep her busy. When she
gets home her favorite thing to do is sleep. She likes to sleep because it is relaxing and she feels
relived. Wendy’s best vacation was in New Zealand, it was her best vacation because it has
beautiful beaches and it was very relaxing. One place she would like to go to would be Australia
because she has family there.
