PROPOSAL
INTRODUCTION:
A. THEME: The Hunger Games; A Panems Convergence where Stronger Bonds are Made
B. OBJECTIVES:
1. To strengthen the unity of the the freshmen and sophomore students
2. To promote freshmen learnership with the guidance of sophomore friendship and
leadership through group activities in the event.
3. To let the freshmen have a good bond with their Manongs and Manangs
4. To respect and continue the tradition of the CPMT department.
5. To promote cooperation and teambuilding activities with the Freshmen and
Sophomores
6. To promote healthy competition with other class sections.
7. For the freshmen to achieve full potential as holistic Augustinians.
8. To promote cleanliness and love for the environment by influencing industrious work
ethics in the maintenance of cleanliness of the venue.
9. To share Augustinian love for the Extended Community.
10. To cherish relationships, give hope, inspiration and love from the Sophomores with
the Freshmen.

A. FRESHMEN GUIDELINES
1. All freshmen students are expected to arrive at the school campus at 6:30 AM (or earlier as possible
than the said time) for the checking of the costumes. Each section will be assigned to a specific room
where they can prepare and wear their costumes. Their designated sophomore section class officers
shall check their progress every now and then, and serve as their timekeeper.
Note: The bags will be chained together by section for security. Small personal items (gadgets,
wallets) will be gathered by the Sophomore Council for storage. 1 section = 1 backpack provided by
SC (Sophomore Council) and stored by the SC.
2. At 7:30 AM, the sophomores shall start checking the attendance and costumes of the freshmen. Then,
the freshmen shall proceed to line (by section) and proceed to the Lana Hall. The sophomores shall be
in charge of securing the personal items (backpacks for personal items will be secured by the
Sophomores in charge). Backpacks will be checked by the council; litter found in the specified
bleachers shall be considered qualification for demerits.
3. The event will start with a parade entrance at 7:30 AM. The freshmen shall line according to the order
based on their District. The parade entrance shall end at the Alumni Hall where the program shall
officially start. Entrances and exits will be monitored by the council. Running schedule is to be
implemented. Below is the copy of the flow of parade.

4. The program (class presentation and other activities included), will be held at the presentation area
seen below to occupy everyone involved. Below is the arrangement.)

5. After the program (class presentation and other activities included), the students shall be given an
hour to have lunch, and redress in comfortable T shirts and jeans / pants. Then, the Mr. and Ms.
Panem shall start. The Mr and Ms. Panem shall be at the Outside Court Stage 15 minutes before the
PM program will start for the preparation and setting for the Search.
6. Freshmen students may take their costumes off, except for the male and female contestant for the
search, 15 minutes before the resume of the program, the male and female contestants for the search
together with their prep team will head in the Outside Court for the preparation for the search.
7. After the Search, awarding and announcement of Overall Champion shall follow. Cleanliness must be
observed at all times.
8. Each section will be given attendance slips from the SC, 4:30 5:00pm after the whole Freshmen and
Sophomores' Bonding activity which will be required for the clearance signing.
9. For those who will not attend during the activity will be marked absent and will be asked to present
an excused letter duly signed by the parents, guidance councilor, with an attached medical certificate
to be presented to the Dean.
B. SOPHOMORES GUIDELINES
1. Each section will be accountable to the designated area with their respective freshmen class.
2. Class officers shall be assigned to help the Freshmen (they must arrive early so they can sign their
attendance) for checking of costumes and attendance; they shall serve as the timekeepers. The
sophomores shall be in charge of securing the personal items put in a single backpack provided by the
SC. Backpacks will be checked by the council. Designated sophomore section shall be accountable
for the personal item storage.
3. The Freshmen and Sophomores' Bonding Day will start with a parade at 7:30AM. The sophomores
are given the freedom to document the parade as long as they don't litter; loiter or disturb other
classes.

After the program (class presentation and other activities included), the students shall be given an
hour to have lunch. Then, the Mr. and Ms. Panem shall start. The Sophomore Officers shall be at the
back stage 15 minutes before the PM program will start for the preparation and setting for the Search.
The bonding hour of activities of the freshmen and sophomores will be before the announcement of
awards.
No promiscuous actions shall be manifested.
The Sophomores and Freshmen are allowed to spend their own money during the Freshmen and
Sophomores Bonding day but the limit will be 100 pesos, and the money should only be used for
CPMT merchandise only sold on the day of the event. Any reported abuse of money will cause the
student to be called by the Dean.
To all Sophomores, Starting 4:30 PM to 5:00PM will be assigned to clean the entire Freshmen and
Sophomore Bonding Areas, attendance will be checked, in regards to this each Sophomore section
will be required to bring with them 10 garbage bags, 3 brooms (for cleaning), and 3 dust pans. After
the Clean - up Drive, the garbage bags will be placed in the designated trash cans, and the brooms
(for cleaning), and 3 dust pans will be donated to the Tilipunan Community.
Failure to comply with the regulations shall be dealt accordingly.
For those who will not attend during the activity will be marked absent and will be asked to present
an excused letter duly signed by the parents, guidance councilor, and Dean with an attached medical
certificate.

C. Proceeds of the money will go to:


Proceeds of the extra money not used within the school year 2015 2016 will be forwarded to the
Epsilon Chapter, Apothecarian Council, JAMLS Council, and Junior Council S.Y. 2016 2017.

I. PRELIMINARIES
A. FRESHMEN
a. T SHIRT DESIGN
Freshmen guidelines for T-Shirt
Each freshmen student is required to personally design and print individual t-shirts to be
auctioned on January 9, 2016, Saturday.
Parameters of T-shirt lay-out are as follows:
Size would be that of the freshman owner (indicate size, i.e. XS, S, M etc.))
Neckline can be either round-neck or v-neck.
The shirt is only limited to White and Black colors only.
The shirt must be new and unisex in design.
1. The freshmen students must use their creativity in the making of the personal design & details as
long as the design is correlated to the theme and the shirt remains modest and conservative. Vulgarity
shall not be manifested in the design.

2. The main design and concept of the shirt will be quotations/ symbols/original artworks from the
Hunger Games series. In regards to this; the freshmen will also consider the first criterion; which
refrains them in manifesting vulgarity or harsh words
3. The shirts shall be exchanged by the freshmen to the sophomore who bought the shirt on the
Freshmen and Sophomore Bonding Activities from 2:30 to 4:00 pm. In exchange, the sophomore will
exchange with the Freshmen, a gift that they think will help the Freshmen in their studies or life as a
CPMT student. Gifts include old inspirational books, religious books, old stuff toys, inspirational
letters / materials or any items that helped them to be inspired in their 1 st year in College under the
CPMT department.
4. The students with the three best shirt designs shall be awarded points (overall championship) and
incentives during the awarding on Freshmen and Sophomore Bonding Day. Incentives include
candies wrapped as gift packs.

1. Each freshman student is required to submit a soft copy of a photo of him/herself along with his/her
T-shirt (back and front view in only 1 photo for the shirt and upper half body picture), this soft copy
will be gathered by the president of each section from the freshmen and shall be placed in a USB or
Flash-drive and will be submitted to the Sophomore council. A sophomore council member will be
assigned for this duty. Further announcements are to be followed.
2. A point will be deducted for every instruction which will not be followed. Compliance points is 10 pts
c. DESIGN FOR FRESHMEN COSTUME
1. The costumes they are to make will be according to the design given by their designated sophomore
section. A male costume will be given to the male freshman and a female costume will be given to a
female freshman.
2. The costumes are to be made based on the indigenous or recyclable materials indicated by their
respective sophomore class.
3. The set maximum budget of each costume per person is worth Php 100.00.
4. Buying cheap materials is optional.
5. Face paints are prohibited. Using make-up will be allowed.
6. A point will be deducted for every design not followed.
7. Complaints via the class president on costume design will only be entertained a week before Freshmen
and Sophomore Bonding day.
8. If one (1) or more freshmen will be seen not wearing the given costume properly will cause his or her
section: Deduction of Score or Sanction (Sanction: Double time Clean-up at the end of the Freshmen

A picture of the T-shirt will be shown to the second year CPMT students using a Projector
The price of all t-shirts starts at Php 90.00. The price of Php 90.00 was coordinated with the
Sophomore Council with the Sophomore Students to have enough budget for the Junior Coucil S.Y.
2016 2017, School Clinic Rehabilitation Program. and other volunteer and community programs
under the Epsilon Chapter, Apothecarian Council, and JAMLS Council Activities.
The picture of the freshman who owns the shirt will be shown for five (5) seconds after the T-shirt has
been bought and confirmed by the council. The sophomore and freshmen tandem will be recorded.
If there are two (2) or more sophomore interested for one (1) shirt. The sophomore who has the bid
with the highest amount to the shirt will be the owner.
The freshmen will be given the list of their Sophomore buddies with their buddies' contact details few
days after the selling of shirt. Their buddies will be the sophomores who bought their T-shirts. The
shirt - giving will take effect during the Freshmen and Sophomore Bonding Activities.

Monetary Guidelines
o A single sophomore can only bid until the maximum amount of Php 1,000.00.
o If a freshman shirt will cost more than Php 1,000.00 , then a group of sophomore students can buy that
freshmen shirt considering that the maximum per sophomore is Php 1,000.00
o Example: Freshmen shirt cost = Php 3,000.00
Then, three sophomores can buy this shirt for Php 1,000.00 each.
If there are only 3 sophomores, then they can no longer buy any other shirt because the
maximum amount to be collected per person is Php 1,000.00
o All payments are due on the date of Buy a Shirt, Gain a Friend Activity.
o Sophomores are allowed to buy 1 - 3 T-shirts only.
Important note:
The third year and fourth year CPMT students are allowed to join the Buy a Shirt, Gain a Friend
on a separate day if there are extra T-shirts.
II. CPMT FRESHMEN AND SOPHOMORE BONDING 2016

teachers.
a. COSTUMES
Costumes are compulsory during the parade.
The parade shall proceed after the checking of costumes, where the freshmen sections will line
according to the order based on their sections.
Each section shall form two lines headed by the representatives and the arc carried by two male
students.

At the center or at the front of the line, beneath the section's banner, the representative of the
freshmen section for the Mr. and Ms. Panem will be leading the parade.

The parade will be touring around the USA Campus, the parade will start at 7:30 am sharp

b. ARC/BANNER
The arc/banner will be made up of one (1) whole size illustration board (landscape), or more
(optional) with handles at both ends with a height of 2 meters.
The arc/banner must be related to their characters, and their section must be indicated (for identity
purposes).

The cheers and yells are to be portrayed in line with their designated character.

Criteria for cheers and yells/street dance:

The freshmen, with continuous enthusiasm, shall flaunt their costumes around the campus and
proceed to the Outside Court.
Participants shall avoid littering. Garbage shall be noted; appropriate measures shall be implemented
concerning the students responsible.
The freshmen shall form two columns per section in front of the Lana Hall to start the parade.
A point will be deducted for every criteria which will not be followed.

d. CLASS PRESENTATION
Each section is advised to perform strictly a 3-4 minute presentation related to the theme and to their
designated Theme (District),
A point deduction shall be given for every 5 seconds overtime.
Music remixes are highly recommended, but not mandatory.
Vulgarity and promiscuous actions performed will result to disqualification.
Order of class presentation will be according to their class sections.
Participants must only include students in their section.
Participants must include ALL the students in each class.
All props are to be removed from the stage after the presentation by each class.
A point will be deducted for every criteria which will not be followed.

C. MR. AND MS. PANEM


The participants will be 1 male and 1 female from each section
The pageant is to be composed of the Production Number (introduction of name, section, and Hunger
Games Quotation), and Question and answer. Talent Portion is not included.
Each should wear their designated costumes assigned during the entire search.
Tagalog or English are the preferred languages for answering the questions in the Q&A portion.
Strictly no vulgar, insulting or harsh words shall be used in answering.
Thirty seconds shall be given for answering the question for the male and the female candidate
An improved costume shall be used for the participants, provided that there will be no removal of any
part of the original design of the costumes. Additions to the costumes are advised.
Only two to three (2-3) representatives from each class will be allowed to help their participants at the
backstage.
A point will be deducted for every criterion which will not be followed.

D. FRESHMEN AND SOPHOMORES BONDING ACTIVITIES


Within the 1 hour and 30 minutes of bonding, all Freshmen and Sophomores must be at the Outside
Court Area for the given activities.
The bonding hour of the freshmen and sophomores will be before the announcement of awards.
No promiscuous actions shall be manifested
The freshman and sophomore tandem must be together at all times within the given period.
The Sophomores and Freshmen are allowed to spend their own money during the Freshmen and
Sophomores Bonding day but the limit will be 100 pesos, and the money should only be used for
CPMT merchandise only sold on the day of the event. Any reported abuse of money will cause the
student to be called by the Dean.
If a freshman cannot contact his/her sophomore buddy who bought his/her shirt, the buddy must go to
the side of the stage and raise the issue to the council. If the buddy cannot be contacted, then he/she
will be assumed absent.
Groupings for the Perfect Square game will be composed of 20 sophomores per group with their
freshmen buddy. Groupings will be assigned by the Sophomore Council.

a. Perfect Square (Team Building Activity)


The sophomores will gather the freshmen team in a circle, and have them sit down. Each
freshmen team member should then put on a provided blindfold. Taking a long rope with its ends tied
together, the sophomores will place the rope in each freshmans hands so that they all have a hold of it.
The Sophomores leave the circle. The sophomores will instruct them to form a perfect square out of the
rope without removing their blindfolds or touching the freshmen. Once the frshmen team believes they
have formed a square, they can remove the blindfolds and see what theyve accomplished.
b. #Selfie (Friendship Activity)
The Freshmen and Sophomores will take selfies with each other and talk about the great
things that happened to them so far in the activities. The Sophomores are encouraged to talk about stories
in their freshmen year that inspired them to study smart, enjoy life and love God to their Freshmen buddy.
c. Exchange of Treasures (Sophomore and Freshmen Exchange of
Treasured Gifts)
The bonding will end in an activity where the Freshmen will exchange his/her shirt to the
Sophomore. In return, the sophomores will exchange with the Freshmen 1 or 2 valuable items that they
would like to give to the Freshmen so that the Freshmen can be inspired. It can be a gift that they think
will help the Freshmen in their studies or life as a CPMT student. Gifts include old inspirational books,
religious books, old stuff toys, inspirational letters / materials that will not cost the Sophomores any
money because they are old valuable items.
E. Clean Up Drive
The clean up drive involves the cleaning up of the environment / venue used by this
event by all the Freshmen and Sophomores. Sophomore sections will be required to bring with them 10
garbage bags, 3 brooms (for cleaning), and 3 dust pans. After the Clean - up Drive, the garbage bags will
be placed in the designated trash cans, and the brooms (for cleaning), and 10 dust pans will be donated to
the Tilipunan Community.
