Gadgets, examples are smartphones, iPad and tab has destroyed communication
among friends and family. Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and
examples to support your answer.
Intorduction
In most peoples opinion gadgets such as smartphones, ipad, and tab are the most
important current inventions. It is a good educator, because it provides people with
new and useful information and knowledge. On top of that it is also a great
entertainer. Almost all of us had a gadget.
Technology in todays world offers a plethora of ways to communicate effectively so
that every member of a family can keep in touch. From text messaging, Skype,
webcams, Facebook, Twitter and emails, the facilitation of communication has never
been more available. However, there are times when the one-on-one communication
between human beings falls through the cracks and technology can take control over a
family.
When social networking websites first evolved, many people criticized them and
guessed that they faded away just another temporary fad of pop and hip hop culture
which lost their overall relevance. However, those conclusions and assumptions have
clearly been proven wrong with the passage of time.

companies around the world are able to find their past and prospective customers.
Even though the common people can enjoy an extensive list of benefits through social
media overall. The following is evidence that smartphones, iPad, and tab have not
destroyed communication among friends and family.

The Using of Gadget for Online Networks.


Social interactive online networking such as Facebook and MySpace has changed the
way families communicate. A study done at Indiana University asked parents for their
opinions on these technologies. Some parents stated that a socially isolated child may
become more socially isolated because all of her networks are through the computer.
However, other parents believed the Internet could help a potentially depressive child.

Gadgets useful for Online and Offline Interaction


Researchers found that most of a child's conversations were still face-to-face. Parents
can take control of this situation by joining Facebook with their child so that they can
monitor who their child is talking to. Researchers have found that even though IMing
and text messaging and Facebooking are fun, fast-paced tools that young people love,
most of their serious conversations still take place offline.
Dr. Jeffrey S. McQuillen, assistant professor of speech communication at Texas A&M
University, warns that the influence of technology can be a hindrance to interpersonal
relationships. To McQuillen, the advent of the Internet has made the world smaller in

terms of global interaction, but wider in terms of one-on-one relationships. He
believes the more children are left to themselves and the Internet, the less likely we
are to see familial interdependence. He believes companies that produce all of these
technologies are making virtual interaction synonymous with face-to-face interaction.
He believes this can be disastrous for family life.

Conclusion
Parents can have control over how much technology to include in family life.
Technology is not going to suddenly disappear, nor is the family. The family unit, like
technology, is constantly changing. In the end, it is the role of the parent or primary
caregiver to moderate how much technology is allowed to permeate the core of family
communication. Family communication will not be adversely affected by technology
if it is monitored and controlled.
Smart phone has many positive benefits for us, with the phone we can get the latest
information that we can be discovered quickly. It was just by surfing the internet or
using apps like twitter.
Gadjet as smartphone now become an entertainment tool which is equipped with a
function to listen to music, video, the ability to take photos and share your photos
with friends and games. This has attracted the interest of the children and teens to own
a cell phone. Mobile phones have become most wanted gadjet to teenagers for their
ability to access social sites like Facebook and Twitter.
Other benefits are dedicated to those who really need a mobile phone to access their
email. This will be of benefit to those who make a lot of outdoor work. Ability to
present mobile phone to access email and other applications, such as applications,
maps, words, excel, ppt, calendar, and reminders and so has provided various facilities
to them and we are also particular.

Do we learn more from finding out that we have made mistakes or from our
successful actions?

Introduction
To me experience is the best teacher and you learn immensely from your failures and
mistakes. I am not saying we dont learn from our successes, I just think we learn
more from our failures. The problem I see with this concept of learning from
successes is that we could have hit upon the right path by chance. While achieve
success, we dont really get to know of wrong paths (and there could be many of
them) so there is every possibility we miss the right path when we try the same thing
next time.
However, when we fail, we will analyze and understand the reasons, and then choose
the right path. And that sticks with us resulting in learning. No one likes to do
wrong. But if we want to go through life with the good, there is no guarantee that we
do not make mistakes. If we can learn our mistake, then we will get new fuel to move
forward. We should be aware that errors are an important part of self-development.
Learn how we can learn from these mistakes.
Failure to create new options. Maybe you can not absorb all the lessons you received
from your failures, but nonetheless it is a priceless treasure for you. Failure is also a
perfect moment where you reflect back on your initial goal, look around, and decide
the reason why you can not give up. The best part from a failure is you will be taken
to a street you've never found before. The new door will open; your connection to
some people may be stronger.

Mistakes Remind Us to Make Apologie

If you've made a mistake that hurt or harm others, is very important for us to quickly
apologize earnestly. Make sure that it is right that an accident will not happen again.
Good apology will restore the person's level of trust in us. If we do not apologize, its
likely people will attack us for revenge. Apology is a safe way to resolve arguments.
Be very effective if we personally apologize compared by mail or email. Yet, so we
have to apologize, not to make the same mistake again, because it is foolishness and
very annoying. Immediately correct your actions.

Do not be The Perfectionist'


Failure to train your patience. If you are a fast emotional, especially when you have a
failure, it's a very natural thing. I think almost everyone feels regret or anger in the
face of failure. But the important point is not to bury your disappointment or anger.
If you live with fear to commit the offense, then you will spend your life with is not
doing anything. Not a problem if we made a mistake, because once again it is an
important part of life so that we continue to progress. The more responsibility we take
on, chances are we made a mistake even more often.
If we always want to feel everything is perfect, always wanting to avoid the tiniest
offenses, it will eventually fortify ourself psychologically and we become afraid of
taking risks.

Do not Throw Time by Finding Justification


We humans have a natural capacity to find justification for the wrongs we have done.
When we made a mistake, the average first reaction we are blaming others.
"Yes, I have run into a car in front of me, but that is because my friends always call
me gossip to split my concentration ..."

"I could not finish the job on schedule because my computer is misbehaving ..."
We need to know, when the offense has been made, our boss is not impressed at all
with the all justification we make. We find justification for our high ego. Sometimes,
the best thing to read is very simple: "Yes, I've made a mistake."

Understand Why Offenses That Could Have Happened


Errors can occur for a variety of offenses. To prevent the same mistake twice, we have
to understand the root of the problem.
For example, we often talk to fast and furious tone; we often say things that are less
good.

We must find out what is causing our anger at the time. Perhaps we feel very

tired or sick of our head. If we made a mistake because we are so slack, try not to
sleep until late. If we feel stress, find ways to make you relax.
Failure is a source of creativity. Who would want failure? But if you never expect to
fail then your mind is not stimulated to grow. Failure would encourage you to be more
creative.

Avoid Repeating the Same Offense


We should avoid guilt continuously since have made an error, but at the same time,
we should find a way of fragmentation and perform corrective actions. If we repeat
the same mistake, it shows that we do not experience an improvement and cause loss
and suffering a relapse.
Often errors caused by bad habits. To prevent the same mistakes over and over, we
should get rid of the bad habit. This is not easy and requires extra effort to change a
habit. However, the more quickly we can change a bad habit, the more quickly we
avoid committing the same offense.

Conclusion
Failure to optimize your potential. The more often you fail; your brain will be getting
trained to face the problem and how to find a way out. I believe that everyone has a
huge potential with their uniqueness. You know what the potential that you have only
the courage to face the problem, there is no other way.
Offense is a chance for us to learn. From the errors we have made, of course we
would expand and wise. The offenses in connection with the courage to take risks, is
something that is crucial to our success. The most important thing is to see the offense
as a stepping stone to achieve something higher and better life. Be thankful if you
have a failure or an accident. Because of the failure you are ready to reap greater
success. You will be forged to be stronger than ever. Offence can gain our strength. I
think I personally learn MORE from failures than from successes. How about you?

Today our workplaces and neighbourhoods are composed of people of diverse
backgrounds. For this reason it is important for people to find ways to get along with

each other. Write an essay explaining how people of diverse backgrounds can get
along better.

Introduction
Diversity can be defined as people coming together from different races, nationalities,
religions, and sexes to form a group, organization, or community. A diverse
organization is one that values the difference in people. It is one that recognizes that
people with different backgrounds, skills, attitudes, and experiences bring fresh ideas
and perceptions. Diverse organizations encourage and harness these differences to
make their services relevant and approachable. Diverse organizations draw upon the
widest possible range of views and experiences so it can listen to and meet the
changing needs of its users. The encouragement of diversity benefits society.
The world we live in today is a large and diverse melting pot of people in which many
different kinds meet and interact on a daily basis, both online and in person. Some
may find language barriers or cultural differences make things difficult to understand.
Others may just feel uncomfortable around people with different colored skin.
However, it is important to get along with people of all kinds, both in the workplace
and in day to day life.
In society today, people of diverse backgrounds must learn to get along with each
other. How can we accomplish this goal? Here are some ways people of diverse
backgrounds can get along together.

Most Versatile Way to Treat Each Person


Some ways how we can better get along with people of different racial, cultural,
ethnic, and religious backgrounds are as follows: The first and most versatile way is

to treat each person with unbiased, colorblind, equality. Judge a person, to quote
Martin Luther King: "Not by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character"
Regardless of background, one can always talk about art, music, hobbies, interests,
and pop-culture. In doing so, one may discover surprising things in common with
many outwardly different people.This is a good way to bond with anyone, regardless
of differences and build a strong foundation for friendship.

Try Learning More About People Around Us


Once a good friendship has been established, you may wish to try learning more about
them. Perhaps the best way to do this is by asking them questions.Do not be afraid to
ask about anything you are curious about or do not understand. Some interesting and
exceptable questions may include; "Why do you wear that?", "What holidays do you
celebrate?", "What sort of traditions and or values did you grow up with?", and "Have
you learned any traditional recipes, dances, songs, or stories of your culture from
family?"
You may learn many things from a person about their culture simply by asking, but
you may also learn from other sources once you have opened that door. Books, the
internet, and international fairs and exhibitions are all excellent places to learn many
things about other cultures. Formal classes on language, culture, and religions of
others are also a good option for those who have time and money to do so. However,
one should always make sure to ask a person's race and ethnic background before
doing any research so that they do not mistake Jamaican for African or Chinese for
Japanese.
When learning about a person's culture there are many surprises. You may find both
things that you like and things that you dislike about another culture or background.
While both good and bad are important and cannot be erased, one cannot weigh one
against the other, and should try one's best to hold them to equal regards. For the sake
of friendship, it is best to keep only the good in mind and avoid conversation topics
about the bad. However, if one wishes to discuss such things; it is best to do so

neutrally by asking their opinion on the matter. That way, one can talk further if the
person agrees with their opinion against it or hold one's tongue and change topics, if
the other disagrees in favor of it.

Conclusion
In the diverse backgrounds world which we live, it is important to get along with as
many different people as one can. While not all of these methods can be applied to
every situation, one thing is for sure: All people can get along, if we treat everyone the
same, keep an open mind to their culture, and try to be as understanding as we can be.
We must bare in mind there are no people better or worse as a whole. After all, we are
all live in one world.
One of the many ways people can get along is by asking questions about a person or
situation to better understand or to gain more insight about a person of a diverse
background. When you ask questions, both you and the other person can better get
along and live in harmony.
Other way get along with people of diverse backgrounds is to not prejudge people and
their situation. This means when you first see someone, don't be so quick to say
something bad about the person. Don't dislike someone just because you had one bad
experience with that nationality in the past. We must learn that different people do
different things.
We can better get along with people of diverse backgrounds is by listening to others'
opinions. Don't be so quick to shoot them down or ignore them. If their opinion makes
a good point, don't disagree just because you want to be right. Take everybody's
opinion just as if it was your own opinion.
As a person, we taking somebody for his or her character. This means don't prejudge
them but rather take them for what kind of person they are. If they are nice, fun, and
easy to get along with, judge them by their character. Accept them for their good

qualities and not by how they look or dress. Don't label somebody for his or her
outward appearance.
These qualities can be instilled in children at a young age. If the mother and the father
teach them the right way, they will grow up to be good-hearted people. It's all up to us
to put all the effort to get along. That's why people of diverse backgrounds can get
along together.

It is difficult to make changes in one's life. Do you agree with this statement? State
your view in an essay. Use your personal observations, experience, and knowledge.

Life belongs to the individual, but as a human being who lives in society, everyone
must change their lifestyle for the better and perfect life. Somebody who is going to
change their lifestyle may face various challenges that make difficulties. There are
many things to consider that play a role in a life change.
Anyone can change anything about their life as long as they put their mind to it. It is
difficult to make the changes in a persons life. But adapting to it is challengeable. If
we are brave and smart enough to achieve that thing then we are lighting the future.
Changing life can be challenging, but can also be very rewarding.
Somebody who is going to change their lifestyle may face various challenges that
make difficulties. There are many things to consider that play a role in a life change.
One of the major initial steps to altering a lifestyle is by wishing to do so. Personal
experience can show that how in course of determination and hard work can prepare
an improvement. For example, some people may be in their natural habitat feel it is
troublesome and becoming peaceful and law-abiding is really good. Therefore, they
may make their mind up to change because of the situations like addictions to drugs,
harm to the body, participating in dangerous activities.

Because of pass experience, I would have to agree, but I would not say this statement
is true for everyone. It truly depends on the person and rather they want to make the

Throughout ones life, it is inevitable that they are put in the situations in which they
have to change something. Take for example, it is when people change their job or

move their house to another neighborhood. At first, it is really difficult to adapt to
new environment and make new friends. Sometimes they have to break some old
habits or learn new language. If they refuse to change themselves, they will never fit
in and can probably be isolated.
I have also come across a few people that could afford to change, but for some reason
they did nothing to improve the quality of their life. When asked why, they simply
stated that they were comfortable with their surroundings.

Conclusion
From my point of view, the only solution is that we should be ready to make changes
when our face up with the problems. We ought to think that making a change is not
difficult, it just take some time and efforts. It is easy to understand that doing the
things we have already done well is at first preferable, but we cannot go on with this
all the time while the world is changing rapidly. Resisting making changes just make
our life monotonous. We need to be willing to change if it is necessary and worthy,
such as learning to use modern technology to improve our work, try to get used to the
customs and culture in the area we have just moved in to really become a part of this
new society. As time passes by, these changes will make our life happier and more
comfortable.
It is difficult to make changes because we live by habits created over time. Habitual
behavioue works by rewarding us with either positive or negative reinforcement. So if
we want something to change for some reason it is better to make it a habit.
To make something work though requires us to motivate oursleves for a period of
time. This period is different for everyone and depends on other factors, so one person
might decide to give up smoking and be ok, others might replace smoking with food,
others try for a week and go back to their cigarettes.

Those who return to an old habit or behavior then often punish themselves internally
as a failure, claiming to themselves that not succeeding was their fault and they are a
bad person. Whereas it is merely a failure to create a new and better habit.
It is possible to make positive change, but it is hard work, keep a goal in mind and
make these steps to the goal easily attainable at first. I am tending to say, change is
easy for those that can do it. For those that want change, but have barriers in the way
must keep trying. You are going to run into dead end, but you have to keep searching
for ways to better yourself.

QUESTION 7
What are some important qualities of a good supervisor (leader)? Use specific details
and examples to explain why these qualities are important
Introduction
Managing a group of people who all have different personalities, abilities and who
may or may not interact well with each other is not an easy task and, in my opinion, to
be successful you require certain qualities and skills. Many of the responsibilities that
must be undertaken in order to protect the good name of the organization and achieve
the desired goals. The head also had to treat a variety of ills of his subordinates.

A company's progress or downfall solely depends on the abilities of its supervisor. A
boss should possess some qualities that will aid in the perfect management of the
company. The qualities that I feel are of utmost importance for a good boss, are
excellent leadership skills, good organizational skills, and honesty. A good boss
always possesses an excellent leadership quality. He should know how to extract and
utilize the expertise of his subordinates. For example, if the boss is not able to get
work done by his juniors, then his subordinates will dominate him and will never
follow his orders. A good boss is a strict disciplinarian but not a dictator. He should
always be ready to listen to other's opinion and should also be capable enough to take
a unanimous decision, which is beneficial for the company as a whole. A boss should
have good organizational skills.
Those who are under the organizational structure, it's usually those who carry and
move the organization on instructions administration and processes designed by the
top level. Problems will arise if the instructions given are not clear and do not
correspond to the current state of the organization, the goals are not met and the
organization into disarray.
This is where the sensitivity of the head of the lead organization is required. A good
leader must understand the needs and requirements as well as the characteristics of
subordinates and at the same time capable of leading them in order to achieve
organizational goals and objectives.
First of all a good boss has to be a good conflict mediator. Most of the problems
between employees are due to luck of communications and misunderstandings
between them. The mediating function has much to do with creating bridges that helps
people to communicate and dissolve the conflicts.
Also something very important for being a good leader it is to be very pragmatic and
clear about what he expects from the team or people that are working with him.
Clarity gives people security. For example is very useful that the persons have a list of
the tasks for the day so he/ she can distribute the time us they wants.

Wise to Choose Employees According to Their Abilities


A good leader must understand each character his subordinates. Every individual has
different properties. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses. If a leader can
understand the characteristics of each individual under it, it will facilitate the
management and future planning of the organization. The problem arises if a leader
does not understand all the people under them. Give work to the wrong individual.
The situation is even worse if a leader is just making assumptions and judgments that
the individual can do. The strengths and weaknesses of each individual to be used by
a leader with a good and effective. For example, if A is only able to make the paper a
good job and not being able to speak in front of a crowd. So a leader must choose
another person to present the paper. Leader wisdom in choosing the right employees
can give every employee the opportunity to develop their abilities and this will make
them very happy to do their work. This situation will increase the quality of their
work.

Regards Your Employees First To Get Their Respect and Love


Often we see a situation where the employees give their salute to their boss. Some
situation, also happens when the employees to say hello, but the boss did not answer.
As the head is not wrong if we start salute our employees below. If you are the boss or
leader in your organization, what is wrong if you extend best wishes to your
employees and give your regards first to the employees were in the office? Believe it,
they will not be shy and start to love you.

Give a Gift of Appreciation on Certain Days.


A simple thing but do you as a boss or your boss do to you? Appreciation is not how
but will cause the staff below you give your loyalty to the tasks entrusted to it. As a

boss it is difficult to remember all of of the staff birthday. But that's what the boss
needs to do to become a great boss.

Staffs Are Families in The Office.


Do not just assume your staff under a co-worker, but they are actually the second
family in the office. So do not just treat them just co-workers to accomplish the tasks
you assign. You also need to know the problems and emotions. Another good quality
it is to be empathetic with the employees feelings and life situations that they are
involved out of the job. For example people that will get marry soon or one that will
became a father, surely will be stressed because this implicates big changes in life. If
they have the care and comprehension of the supervisor surely will help them to relax
and feel supported by their leader.
Nowdays people spend many hours in their works, good relations between employees
is essential to create a good work atmosphere. People that feels comfortable in their
works are happier in their family life because they return home relaxed. A good
supervisor has an important role in creating the work a comfortable place to be.

There is so much going on, every time a small councils or programs organized by the
staff, you as the boss was not present for the celebration. You may submit under your
assistant to be present. But without you realizing you've let them down.

Assign Rights Under Your Staff.


It is not easy to become a great boss. You have to fulfill all of their rights so that they
would love you. Attend every invitation that involves weddings, religious prayers of
your staff or visit their family and offer to help them. Do not calculate the amount that
you pay, but take into account the quality you have done. Things you may not do this
as your side but great value on their side.

Conclusion
Believe that you will be a great boss if you care all that things. Leading requires
certain skills in order to provide an effective impact on the staff under you. Skills also
need confidence and a creative approach to process more convenient and flexible lead
to the target direction.
A good boss is always a very honest man. He should think about his company and his
employees first before his own benefits. He should never cheat with the company he
is working with. For example, in many incidences we have seen that the boss cheats
with the company, alters the paper work to make profits for himself which can
ultimately result into the decline of the company and because of him not only the
other employees suffer but general public also has to face serious problems.
Therefore, a good boss is not only a good leader but also a very honest , disciplined
and organized man who is capable enough to make decisions and always ready to hear
others without getting mad, he not the head of the company but also the base of a
successful organization. If the leader is a Muslim, learn more on how to become a
leader or a boss who is admired by leadership and the manners of the Prophet
Sallallahu A'laihi Wasallam.
