Welcome to Grace Church Highlands!

Summer 2016
Dear Friends,
Welcome especially if you are new and are considering making Grace Church
Highlands your spiritual home. We are a church family who long to know the Lord
Jesus better and to make him known to others. This Term Card should provide you
with plenty of useful information about church life in the coming months.
This summer, God-willing, we will join the rest of the nation in celebrating the
Queens 90th Birthday. As part of these festivities we are organising a Highlands
Street Party on Sunday 12th June. Please do plan to be with us on this historic day
which will begin with a Guest Service in Highlands Village Hall and will be followed
by an afternoon Street Party in Sainsburys car park.

We will also be giving away copies of a wonderful book, The Servant Queen and
the King she serves, the Foreword for which has been written by Her Majesty.
The beautifully illustrated book gives an inspiring insight into her faith in God and
is a fitting tribute to her faithful service over so many years.
We are also planning to hold an occasional evening service in Highlands Village
Hallthe first of which will be on Sunday 19th June, which Chris Stead will be
leading and organising. There is
plenty more to look forward to
including a sermon series in James
and then a look at some of Jesus
parables all with a sting in the
tale.
