Lesson Summary: Pupils are needed to spell words and make familiar words using the alphabet
cards. Then, they need to match the words to the correct pictures correctly.
Content Standard:
By the end of the 6 year primary schooling, pupils will be able to:
Apply knowledge of sounds of letters to recognise words in linear and non- linear texts.
Learning Standard:
2.1.3 Able to segment words into phonemes to spell
Pupils Previous Knowledge:
Pupils are familiar with their body parts.
Lesson Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
i) Name the body parts correctly.
ii) Make familiar words from the alphabet cards in pairs correctly with guidance.
iii) Match the words to the pictures given.
Contents:
Vocabulary words on body parts:- head, eyes, ear, nose, mouth, tongue, teeth
Moral Values / Educational Emphasis:
Cleanliness and taking care of oneself.
