1. T recalls pupils memory about the book cover of the story The White
Radish by showing them the laminated book cover and asks them few
questions about it. For example, What is the title of the book? Who is the
author of the book?.
2. T asks pupils to open page 19, AB and talk about the book cover. T asks
pupils what do they see on the cover.
3. T guides pupils in doing the activity.
4. T asks pupils to colour the book cover if they have completed the activity.
5. T asks pupils who have finished the activity to do the next exercise with
guidance from the T.

1. In The Woods activity, T introduces the phonemes (/U/) represented by


oo by imitating the chattering of the monkey, (/u:/) represented by oo the hoot
of an owl and (/a:/) represented by ar the caw of the crow.
2. T puts the pictures of monkey, owl and crow on the whiteboard.
3. T asks few pupils to put sound cards of oo, oo and ar under each
according to their sound. For example, picture of a monkey oo, picture of
