RED -Able to identify and distinguish letters of the alphabet


and to associate sounds with the letters of the alphabet.
(based on C1 & C2)
Set Induction:
~ Get pupils to talk about themselves in front of the class
with teacher guidance.
1. Show some picture cards and get pupils to talk about
the pictures.
2. Get pupils to write the words based on the pictures on
the whiteboard.
3. Teacher emphasizes on the upper and lower case of the
letters.
4. Teacher gives activities of arranging the words to form
correct sentences in a worksheet.
5. Pupils discuss in pairs.
(a) RED
i. Teacher divides pupils into 2 groups of 4.
ii. Each group is given a worksheet with 3 different
letters.
iii. Teacher emphasizes on the correct penmanship.
iv. Get pupils to know how to write upper and lower
case
neatly and correctly.
vi. The most beautiful handwriting will be given some
rewards.
vii. Get pupils to say the letters/ words given one by one.
viii. Dictation on mini whiteboard.

Assessment :

Quiz Show pictures and ask pupils to say the words/ letters
aloud.

Reflection :

20 of 23 pupils reached the objectives. Other 3 pupils did not


reach the objectives due to lack of knowledge of some
vocabularies. The pupils need to be given more drilling on
reading.
RED
10 of 15 pupils reached the objectives. Other 5 pupils still
have difficulties in handling their pencils and the handwriting
is not clear and neat. The pupils need to do more exercises
on writing as homework.
