Summer 2013

Quizzes will occasionally be given covering the material in the class. It is

your responsibility to be prepared for quizzes covering any material that
has been presented in class up to that day. Be sure to bring all necessary
tools (calculator, etc.) you may need for a quiz to every class period. If
more than four quizzes are given during the course of the semester, the
lowest quiz score will be dropped.

Homework problems will be assigned to supplement the in-class instruction

and examples. You may use any resource at your disposal to complete the
homework. A penalty of 20% per day penalty will be applied to any work
turned in late. The students lowest score homework assignment will be
dropped. Your submission must be your own work.
All portions of the Auburn University student academic honesty code (Title XII) found in the Tiger Cub will apply to this class. All academic
honesty violations or alleged violations of the SGA Code of Laws will be
reported to the Office of the Provost, which will then refer the case to the
Academic Honesty Committee.

Some homework assignments require use of spice circuit simulator software

such as PSpice or LTSpice. In addition, students should be prepared for
an amplifier design project that makes heavy use of spice and MATLAB
simulations. Computers equipped with the necessary design software are
located in the Broun Hall computer labs. Alternatively, Octave (an open
source MATLAB alternative) and LTSpice (and other spice simulation
tools) may be found online. Related source code, screenshots, etc. should
always be provided with student submissions.

Accommodations: Students who need accommodations are asked to arrange a meeting during
office hours the first week of classes, or as soon as possible if accommodations are needed immediately. If you have a conflict with the instructors
office hours, an alternate time can be arranged. To set up this meeting,
please contact the instructor by E-mail. Bring a copy of your Accommodation Memo and an Instructor Verification Form to the meeting. If you do
not have an Accommodation Memo but need accommodations, make an
appointment with The Program for Students with Disabilities, 1244 Haley Center, 844-2096 (V/TT). Exam accommodations must be arranged
at least one week in advance. Any accommodations do not go into effect
until you meet with me during office hours or an appointment to discuss
your accommodation needs.
