John Carroll Boston Butt Bar-B-Q sale!
John Carroll Catholic High School is holding
a Boston Butt Bar-B-Q sale on Wednesday,
May 19, on its grounds from 1:00 to 4:00
p.m. Tickets can be purchased in the main
office for $25 each until Monday, May 17,
2010 during school operating hours.
The Boston Butts will be prepared by Sweet
Bones Alabama and weigh eight to ten
pounds. A special bottle of SBA’s award
winning sauce will also be included.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit the
purchase of new computers for the John
Carroll library.

the Parish Hall. Our speaker will be Marc
James Ayers, OLS member and historian,
presenting part two of “The History of
Catholic Ireland: The Reformation and the
Resistance.”
OLS Annulment Education and Support
would like to invite everyone interested in
learning more about the Declaration of
Nullity, commonly know as Annulments, to
join us Sunday, May 23, at 11:30 a.m. to
1:00 p.m. in Room 102 of the Family Life
Center for Annulment Education. If you are a
divorced Catholic, know a divorced Catholic
or just want to learn more about what the
Church teaches about Annulments, we
encourage you to join us and learn more
about the Declaration of Nullity. Anne Marie
Verchot, RCIA Director at Our Lady of
Sorrows and a Diocesan Trained Advocate
on the Declaration of Nullity, will be leading
the meeting. She will be educating and
assisting persons on the Declaration of
Nullity application process and will be
providing guidance and fielding questions as
the application proceeds through the
process. Catholics who have completed the
process are also encouraged to join us in
support of the applicants. Snacks and drinks

The Folk Group had a wonderful liturgical
music workshop the weekend of April 30/May
1. The workshop took place in the church
with meals in the Family Life Center. Guest
liturgical musician and work shop leader was
Gary Daigle, a composer with GIA music
publishers. The group had a spiritually and
musically enriching time of prayer, learning
and singing together. Mr. Daigle has had
prior visits to OLS and we were glad to
welcome him back. Many thanks to those
who assembled this great event, including
Kathy DiPiazza, Tricia Hiller and Jenny Sims.
