Declaration Claiming Small Entity Status

I, Robert G Bennett, hereby declare that I qualify as an
independent engineer and a non-profit business entity as defined
by 37 CFR 1.9(c) in Title 35 in the United States Patent and
Trademark Office. I am not assigned or licensed and have no
responsibility under contract to license any rights in the invention
to any person who could not be classified as an independent
inventor under 37 C.F.R.I hereby declare that the rights of this
invention belong to me, Robert G Bennett, and cannot be copied

Abstract
A Notebook Cooling Pad is a structure that a portable electronic
notebook computer rests upon, forced air is drawn through ducts
built into the bottom of the device by means of rotating electric
fans and forced through openings in the top surface of the device.
The ducts draw air from cooler surroundings forcing it around the
base of the notebook to the outer edges thereby removing excess
heat generated by the notebook. The brushless electric fans are

powered by the computers built in USB ports and is activated by a

O/I switch on the right face of the device. The device can be used
in Indoor/Outdoor conditions but must remain dry.

Specifications
I, Robert G Bennett have invented a Notebook Cooling Pad
As shown in the following Specification:
Fig 1: Shows a top view of the device;
Fig 2: Shows the right face of the device;

Description of the Preferred Embodiment

Figure 1 shows the top view of the cooler case which has a
rectangular case made of composite polymer 10. With a module
in the center of the case which houses the electric fan assembly
11. The surface 13 has a slightly rough texture so to limit
notebook movement after placement. There are 2 exit ducts 12
by which cool air is forced out.
Figure 2 shows the right side view of the device. In the center are
2 intake air ducts 16 which is symmetrical with the left side is
used to draw in cool air to discharge through ducts 12 in Fig 1. A
USB connected port 14 is used to power the device using the
computers internal power supply and is switched on and off by a
power switch 15.

What is claimed is:

1. A portable notebook cooling pad comprising:
a. A rectangular body
b. Internal ducting to draw cool air
c. An electric brushless fan to move said air through the
ducting
2. The portable notebook cooling pad of claim 1, wherein has a
semi-solid body composed of a polycarbonate polymer.

3. The portable notebook cooling pad of claim 1, must have an

un-obstructed air flow path to operate properly and function
in within design specifications.
4. The portable notebook cooling pad of claim 1, therefore must
use electric power already provided by the notebook to
power the brushless electric fan.
5. The portable notebook cooling pad of claim 4, shall be a fan
that does not easily clog with debris such as hair or shredded
paper.
6. The portable notebook cooling pad of claim 4, wherein the
fan must be of low noise level to not interfere with user
operation and must not emit substantial electromagnetic
interference.
