IPC Global has increased the functionality of the AMPT

or Universal Testing System (UTM) with the addition
of an optional hardware which would enable uniaxial
fatigue tests to be conducted on asphalt cylinders.
The Uniaxial Fatigue Kit allows the AMPT or UTM to
perform tension tests, including the Simplified Continuum
Damage Uniaxial Fatigue (SCDUF) test and Dr. Richard Kims
Simplified Viscoelastic Continuum Damage (S-VECD) test.

The kit comprises top and bottom tension platens and additional hardware to
allow tension platens to be mounted inside the AMPT. The optional Tension
Platen Gluing Jig ensures fast and accurate alignment of the platens ensure the
most accurate results.
