Introduction
SANAV has created the brand new RT-99 Vibration-Actuated Hibernation Switch with 3.7V
6600mAh Long Life Battery and Ruggedized Pelican Magnetic GPS Case, all of which are
designed to work with the SANAV GC-101 and CT-24 mini-trackers. This package provides up
to 90-days of battery life for your SANAV GPS tracker, by combining an external high capacity
Lithium-Ion battery pack with a motion-sensing hibernation switch and then protecting all the
parts in a watertight and crushproof Pelican case with magnetic attachment.
The RT-99 is the optimal solution for long-term surveillance and asset tracking applications
utilizing your SANAV GPS tracker. The compact high capacity 3.7V 6600mAh Lithium-Ion
battery pack offers 6x more capacity that the standard 1100mAh battery.
The vibration-actuated DC power switch supplies power to the SANAV GPS tracker when

motion is sensed and then returns to hibernation sleep mode (turning off the DC power to the
GPS tracker, using less than 1mA current) after a pre-defined period of inactivity (e.g. 5, 10, 15
or 20mins). The Pelican GPS case is totally watertight and crushproof with a rubber liner for
extra protection which doubles as an o-ring seal. The case comes with a pressure equalization
valve (which balances interior pressure and keeps water out) and a 50lb pull-force magnet on
the bottom.

The RT-99 package does not include the SANAV GPS tracker.
2)
The 3.7V DC battery power is applied to the SANAV GPS tracker only after the vibration-actuated DC power switch detects motion.
Once the DC power is applied (i.e. active mode), the tracker will attempt to acquire the GPS position fix (Blue LED lit) and connect to the GSM
network (Red LED lit). GPS position reports will then be sent according to the auto-report interval and GPS data route mode specified by the
user (i.e. via the Programming Utility or SMS commands).
3)
The battery power will be automatically disconnected from the GPS tracker (i.e. hibernation mode) for 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes after
the vibration sensor has ceased to detect any motion. When the RT-99 is in hibernation mode and battery power is disconnected from the GPS
tracker, the GSM and GPS functions in the SANAV tracker are completely shut down. There is no way to send SMS commands or receive GPS
updates until motion is sensed and the GPS tracker goes back into active mode.
4)
The overall operating time is up to 90 days, dependent on the amount of time in the active vs. hibernation modes.
5)
Do not use the RT-99 with the CT-24 when the CT-24 is in Power Save mode, as this will lead to unpredictable results.
