Allama Iqbal, being the National poet of Pakistan, holds an eminent position in our history. His poetry and works
of literacy for children were highlighted through different speeches by the students of JCS.

Event: Forum for
Mothers
Event Date: 15th
December, 2015
The very fact that
you worry about
being a good mother
means that you are
already one.
A prestigious event was
held for JCS mothers on
15th December, 2015 at
NAKHLAH Auditorium.
The aim was to mutually
talk about building values,
the threats of subliminal
messages and educational
warfare. Emphasis was
laid on providing alternate
choices to children in this
fast-paced
age.
The
session ended in a one-toone
question
answer
session to further guide
the mothers.

Fair was organized at JCS
on 14th November, 2015.

Event: Students Book Week


Event Date: 11th to 21st September, 2015
A Students Book Week was conducted at JCS from 11th September to 21st September
2015, with the purpose of incurring a genuine interest towards reading. Various activities
were performed by the children to enhance their reading skills. The students were exposed
to different reading sources. They learned the parts of a book, enjoyed reading the

Event: Shopping Day


Event Date: 29th January, 2016
NAKHLAH JCS arranged an event to enhance the mathematical skills of the students.
The theme being Shopping Etiquette. Different stalls were setup selling a variety of food
and items of attraction for little ones. Among the items being sold were key chains,
jewelry boxes, badges depicting Pakistans monuments and some crafts made by the staff.

Event: Maths Champ


Event Date: 17th December, 2015
With the aim to highlight the mathematical skills of our students, to enhance their critical thinking skills and to develop
a healthy competition spirit, an event Maths Champ was arranged on 17th December, 2015 at NAKHLAH
Auditorium. The event had the following rounds:

Event Date: 26th February, 2016
To develop the interest of our students in the subject, to enhance their Quranic recitation skills and to encourage their
efforts, a Qirat and Tajweed Competition was held at NAKHLAH Auditorium.

Event: Sports Day


Event Date: 5th March, 2016
An authentic event was held at JCS on 5th March, 2016 for students who were smart on the tracks and competed with
each other in different races. The school ground was filled with balloons, chart papers with slogans and loud cheers that
echoed in the atmosphere making the day ever so amazing. The chief guest was Ms. Ayesha Noor, the Taekwondo
champion and a bronze medalist. It all started with a marchpast and a PT display. During the race, the children excitedly
bugged up their team mates. The Abu Obaidah and Khalid Bin Waleed houses came up to a tie after a very tough
competition. The only event that drew more cheers was the teachers race.

Event: Literacy Week


Event Date: 28th March, 2016 1st April, 2016
We had the most interesting and enlightening week at JCS from 28th March, 2016 to 1st April, 2016. The children were

introduced to the literal meaning of literacy. A library clinic was setup for the children. An entertaining event that included
poem recitation from the dear class I students, amusing and yet thought provoking skits by class II and a very heated
debate competition by class III was the highlight of the week.

Other inspiring activities included a dictionary search-off in groups for classes II and III, a little book fair in which
mothers also came, and finally as a means to motivate parents to read with their children at home, a mini-book review was
given as a home assignment along with tips and tricks for parents on how to support their child in this endeavor.

The essence of all the activities planned is to carry on the vision of NAKHLAH by providing a healthy,
growing environment for future leaders of the Islamic society. In the end, we would like to say
JAZAKALLAH to all of our valued parents for their unconditional support which encourages us to go
