10th Grade Student Teacher, Coopersville High School
• Developed and taught daily lessons that corresponded with the Michigan Curriculum
standards and Benchmarks for World History and Geography. In addition I also taught 11th
and 12th grade Sociology.
• Used inquiry-based questions in lessons to promote authentic questioning and response.
• Researched, created and implemented lessons that incorporated audio, visual, and
kinaesthetic approaches to foster differentiated learner styles, through Gardner's Multiple
Intelligences methods.
• Designed and taught units using various pedagogical approaches, including socratic seminar,
debate, mock trials and fishbowl, promoting structured, student based discussion and higher
order thinking skills.
• Constructed lessons that worked on helping student's literacy needs.
• Incorporated multimedia technology forms regularly in the classroom, including use of a
