DESIGN BRIEF
1.

INTRODUCTION
Read this Design Brief together with the Project Scope Definition to determine the details of overall project scope.
This document may comprise the civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation design brief for the
project.
Provide a description of the project and the key objectives.

The original background of this project:

PT Inco Mining department mine rehabilitation section has to operate five Ferro
Sulfate (FeSO4) treatment facilities to control chrome. The locations are Petea
west, Petea east, Debbie, Fiona and Lorraine. At The moment, all treatments
facility use traditional injection of constant FeSO4 to water. So, some times ratio
To have advisability treatment facility to comply with EHS issue, we need to replace
the existing with automatic FeSO4 injection system that means injection rate
proportional to flow rate.
In order to establish support for operation of Rescue Boat 1 as emergency respond
in Matano Lake, FES decided to construct floating dock. The installation of floating
dock shall be completed with bridge as access from/to the boat, which is adequate
for rescuer and victim mobilization.
The floating dock will be located in Yacht Club, Salonsa. The installation is
complying with PTI Major Hazard Standard and Environment Hazard Standard. For
improving cost efficiency, scrap material from Process Plant will be utilized for the
project.

2.

SPECIFIC SCOPE OF WORK

Provide details of specific scope of work covered by this design brief. Highlight all related items that are specifically
excluded from the project scope.
