JOB SUMMARY
Supervisor is responsible for overall management and supervision of the clinical
practices within the department and charged with planning, developing, and
implementing Policies and Procedures within the department.

DUTES &RESPONSIBILITIES:
1- Develops, coordinates, and supervises the staffs in the department.
2- Establishes and oversees standard of practice of the department.

3- Oversee evaluation and management of clinical practices within the department.


4- Establish education program either short or long term for health care professionals
the inside or outside hospital.
5- Monitor drugs and recommend the best way to be used.
6- Follow drugs under scientific Research.

7- Evaluate and follow up reports; ADR and ME, and send it to National Drug
Information, General Pharmaceutical Care at Ministry of Health.
8- Design therapeutic guidelines.
9- Participate in hospital Committees
10- Responsible for the scientific database of computerized information system, drug
interaction, hospital formulary.

11- Training students from medical colleges, pharmacy, doctors, pharmacists,


nurses and health care professionals inside the hospital and on regional scale.
12- Make various evaluation programs regarding Medications.
13- Development of treatment protocol for high priced medicines high Risk
medications and its system of control.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1- EDUCATION / LICENSURE:
1.1 Current Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy specialty.
1.2 Master degree in pharmacy or Pharm D or a PHD

2- PROFESSIONAL / EXPERIENCE
2.1 (5) years experience in the related field.
3. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
3.1 Requires strong clinical skills and detailed knowledge of hospital
processes/operations.
3.2 Better understanding and application knowledge regarding professional practice,
organizational and departmental policies, standards, and procedures.
3.3 Have a good knowledge in chemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutical,
therapeutic, patient care, biopharmaceutics, drug stability, microbiology, quality
assurance and medication administration techniques.

3.4 Good ability in communication, giving instruction, and discussion with other
health professionals.
