EL DESPIDO

Era un da muy frio en la ciudad de Nueva York, los pjaros no volaban y los
perros temblaban con escalofri, nadie quera salir a trabajar ni sacar la basura
por el clima.
Rodrigo un hombre que pareca soberbio, con la cara toda babeada y pegada a la
almohada, tirando el reloj por su incomodo sonido en la maana, decide ir a
baarse por fin para ir a trabajar, sale de su cuarto limpindose las lagaas y
revisando su mal aliento, entra a la ducha sper limpia y con el jabn de la mejor
marca, diciendo mientras mira el espejo: Buenos das Nueva York; Rodrigo quera
tener su piel bien suave, eso parece porque as lo presenta la propaganda; sale
de la ducha casi cayndose y entra suavecito a su cuarto donde espera que por fin
su ama de casa, luego de tantos regaos, le tenga el vestuario organizado.
Despus de llamarle la atencin varias veces a la trabajadora, exigindole que
sacara el nuevo traje que debera utilizar en la empresa por ser el color elegido del
mes en la industria, entra al cuarto y encima de su cama est un traje de color rojo
que cuenta con una camiseta base blanca, una camisa elegante y manga larga
blanca con rayas rojas, un esmoquin color rojo navidad con tres botones de gracia,
una corbata roja perfectamente lisa, con el nudo echo que baja exactamente hasta
su cintura, unos pantalones rojos que dan juego con una correa casi tan parecida
en el color con el pantaln que ni se nota, unas medias tobilleras para mayor
comodidad- rojas con rayas blancas y finalmente unas zapatillas rojas por
supuesto-; Rodrigo apurado y sorprendido por el color rojo que tanto resaltaba, se
pone el traje rpido y sin dar tiempo a describir algo ms, se monta en su Ferrari
negro, dispuesto a enfrentar el da con la mejor actitud, diciendo en voz alta cada
vez que recordaba: traje rojo, otro ojo.

Al llegar a la empresa, Rodrigo ansioso de ver a cada empleado vestido de rojo,

creando un gran contraste rojo en toda la fbrica, entra de prisa al ascensor para
bajar a la planta, al llegar al piso, desesperado porque las puertas abrieran y as
abrir paso hacia el pasillo para llegar por fin a la planta, pone la mejor cara, con la
mejor sonrisa falsa- que le poda salir y finalmente abre las puertas de un golpe.
De 150 empleados que estaban de turno en esa maana, aproximadamente 50
portaban el nuevo uniforme rojo, enfadado Rodrigo, comienza a ir uno por uno
donde los empleaos a preguntar por qu razn no tenan el nuevo uniforme, a lo
que la mayora de los empleados respondan sin temor alguna, dado que el
cambio de uniforme era mensual, que las medidas las estaban haciendo la noche
antepasada, en la cual haba mucha fila, donde por cada persona se demoraban
10 minutos y era ms tarde de las 10pm, que decidieron dejarlo para otro
momento y dirigirse a descansar a sus hogares.
Rodrigo con el ceo ms fruncido que nunca, empieza a despedir a individuos al
azar que no portaran el traje rojo, gritando sin cesar que eran unos perezosos,
irresponsables e incapaces de impulsar su industria de tangas de leopardo, que
cuando se daba una orden era para cumplirla y senta mucho desprecio por cada
uno de ellos.
Los empleados sintindose muy humillados y sabiendo que la decisin era un
hecho, cada uno, en una fila organizada, empezaron a ir hacia la tesorera donde
reciban su cheque con el pago, y vean a la nueva fila de empleados, listos para
una entrevista, portando un elegante traje rojo.
