This letter of reference concerns Henrik Mrtensson, 620920-0093

In 2014/2015 I have had the pleasure to work with Mr. Mrtensson over the period of 15
months, completing an ambitious design and photography project called A Rift in Time
which resulted in a new form of photography based comic book. Henrik was project leader
and lead creator. I worked under him as a staff photographer and trick designer. In a team
of eight members.
I have experienced Mr. Mrtensson as a very thoughtful and effective project leader who
clearly communicated expectations and time lines and along the way created a positive
and encouraging work environment which left plenty of room for creative ideas and input
from the team. Team members had clearly defined project roles and a clear understanding
of what expected of them.
I experienced Henrik as a very proactive leader, who anticipated potential conflict
situations well and made sure team members communicated with each other in ways that
allowed most potential flash points to be resolved before arguments arose. If questions or
conflicts nevertheless did arise, Henrik skillfully served as an arbiter and helped all parts
involved in an argument to constructively resolve their creative differences. Under Mr.
Mrtenssons guidance, the outcome of such discussions most often lead to solutions that
generated outcomes of higher quality than either side had come up with on their own.
The project we pursued was very complex and demanding from a technical standpoint and
we faced a variety of situations where the task at hand had never been done before. In
those situations, Henrik was very engaged in helping us overcome those obstacles, leading
research efforts for possible solutions and facilitating the exchange of knowledge needed
to acquire the skills necessary to complete the task. Never satisfied with the answer that
something couldnt be done. Mr. Mrtensson found solutions none of us had imagined and
helped us think outside the box in ways few of us had dared before. Under Henriks
leadership we enjoyed a very constructive dialogue between team members that allowed
us to learn from each other during those challenges and become better photographers and
designers in the process.
As technical challenges arose during the project, Henrik was very effective in adapting the
project plan, dividing up updated tasks between different team members and ensuring
ample communication between all parts involved in the project to ensure everybody was
aware of changes made and worked towards the same solution.
I greatly enjoyed working under Henrik Mrtenssons leadership and would gladly do so
again.

Re: Henrik Mrtensson

I have worked with Henrik Mrtensson at several occasions and recommend him strongly. During
the project A Rift in Time, for instance, he got a set of independent volunteers to perform beyond
their abilities, and at the same time came together as a group. Henrik is both competent and pleasant
to be with. I would very much want to work with him again.
