Electrical Energy

Electrical Energy is the number one most important source of power consumed by
industry, commercial buildings, institutions and homes. Electrical Energy is also the
scientific form of electricity, and it refers to the flow of power or the flow of charges
along a conductor to create energy. It is supplied by electricity generating stations.
Most traditional electricity generating stations manufacture electricity in electrical
generators.
Electrical energy is known to be a secondary source of energy, because we obtain
the energy through conversion of other forms of energy. For Electrical Energy there
are fossil-fuel burning stations, energy sources are most likely coal, oil, and natural
gas (they can also use nuclear energy as well) or any source of fuel that is carbon
based are used to boil water. That water is turned into high pressure steam, which
would help turn the turbines that help the generators that turn to
manufacture electricity. Also renewable resources like wind work the
same way as the fossil-fuel and water to help turn the turbines that
manufacture the energy. So some techniques used to harvest the
electricity are wind turbines to harvest wind, and also sometimes heat
harvesting are used to generate electricity, and they also harvest water
as well. Energy harvesting is also a technique used for electrical energy
and it is a process when energy is derived from external sources like
solar power, thermal energy, etc. For Electricity most resources used are
renewable resources like wind, sunlight, geothermal, hydropower and
biomass. The resources are used in different ways but they all do
convert into electricity in different ways like wind helps generate
electricity, and sunlight or solar energy converts into electricity.
Electrical energy production takes place in power plants burning fossilfuel. Heat is produced during the fuel burning is used to evaporate large amounts of
water and create steam that powers a steam turbine, turning the energy extracted
during burning fuel into mechanical work. By connecting a mechanical generator to
the turbine's drive shaft, the mechanical work can be turned efficiently into electric
energy.

All the energies can be converted from one form to another. Energies are
converted one form to another by conversion between the two different energies; for
example you have a crank that has to spin around a couple times to get something to
power up something that is electrical, so you spin in using a mechanical force which
turns into electrical to power something. All the different forms of energies share the
common ability to cause some type of change or to do work. Electrical Energy is
transferred through a chain, and since electrical energy deals with the moving of
atoms and electrons, electrical energy converts to another form of energy when the
electrons move through the resistor in its circuit, and that interacts with the atoms in
the resistor very strongly, causing the resistor (VrIr.) to heat up, which delivers the
energy in a form of heat/ thermal energy. Energy exists in many forms; including

mechanical, heat, electrical, magnetic, sound, chemical, and nuclear. Although these
forms appear to be very different from each other, they often have much in common
and can be transferred from one to another. Solar energy is one of the energies that
can be converted into electrical energy; since solar energy is real easy to change to
electrical energy, so all you have to do is take a solar cell and put it in the sunlight or
any other light source and it will use the light energy and convert it into electrical
energy.
The electric energy transport is usually greatly affected by the loss of power in long
conductors, as a result of the presence of electrical resistance. Even the best electrical
conductors having low electrical resistance can produce enormous power loss over
relative small distances. Electrical energy is transferred through a chain. Most of the
outlets present in our houses have a mono-phase current configuration, consisting of
two electrodes, one used as ground and the other to supply the alternating electric
current. However, the transport systems mostly imply the use of three-phase currents
that consist of four metal conductors, three for alternating electric current supply,
while most of the time the fourth conductor is used as ground, though this is not
necessarily required. The electric currents through the three-phase metal
system are out of phase by 120 solid degrees and voltages between the lines
usually measure an average of 220 volts. Electrical energy is transmitted
through something called wireless energy transfer or wireless power from a
power source to an electrical load without interconnecting wires. Electrical
power transmission or high voltage electric transmission is the bulk
transfer of electrical energy, from generating power plants to substations
located near to population centers. This is distinct from the local wiring
between high voltage substations and customers, which is typically referred to as
electricity distribution. Transmission lines, when interconnected with each other,
become high voltage transmission networks. Once the energy is transmitted into the
transmission lines, the energy is then electricity.
Electrical energy is used in all electrical devices. Electrical energy is used through
out the world powering appliances, lights, and heat and air conditioning systems.
People mainly might know electricity through when Benjamin Franklin discovered it
through lightning, so most people know that electrical energy is used to power lights,
and helps you keep warm at night. Also, sometimes electrical energy could be inside
batteries to help power the electrical devices. In some devices, they have to be
charged by getting plugged into the outlet, the outlet has the electrical energy or
electricity that is being transmitted through the transmission lines that are coming
from power plants where electrical energy is being produced and transmitting right
after that with different voltages that would help power everyday important devices.
In conclusion, electrical energy is a very important property because it helps power
a lot of important appliances in our life, because it helps with giving us heat and airconditioning and light and power to work everything in the household. I have learned
through my research of electrical energy that for the electricity to be produced it goes
through many steps in a process to get turned into electrical energy and to get

transmitted to the transmission lines to get transferred throughout the world to power
our phones, televisions, iPods, lights and heat. So thats why electrical energy is the
number one most important source of power consumed by an industry, commercial
buildings, institutions and homes.
