Characteristics and Requirements of Micro-pellet Sintering


This process is suitable for raw material whose content
includes more than 40% pellet fine.
A certain amount of limestone shall be added as adhesive to
improve pelletizing efficiency, whose particle size is 0 ~ 3mm.
The granulator shall produce small balls (> 3mm 75%).
Separately adding fuel technology is adopted to save solid
fuel. That is to say, 30% of the total solid fuel is added in the
proportion room and the rest 70% is added rolling on the
surface of the balls by cylindrical rolling coal machine. The
ratio of the solid fuel adding before and after proportion of
the material should be adjusted according to the
characteristics of the materials in practice. The solid fuel is
coke powder (some anthracite can be added), 0~3mm should
be equal or over 85% .

Mixing Equipment: Drum Mixer is adopted and pelletizing
time is 7 to 8 minutes. The filling rate shall be controlled as
around 12%
Pelletizing Equipment: Drum Pelletizer or Disc pelletizer can be
adopted.
Micro-Pellet Sintering process should be used according to the
pelletizing and sintering tests of the material to define
optimized parameters.
