FORMAT FOR SEMINAR REPORT

M.Tech CSE - I and III Semester

1. ARRANGEMENT OF CONTENTS:
The sequence in which the seminar report should be arranged and
Spiral bound should be as follows:
1. Cover Page & Title
2. Abstract
3. Acknowledgment
4. Table of Contents
5. List of table & figures (optional)
6. Chapters
7. Conclusion
8. Appendices
9. References
2. PAGE DIMENSION AND BINDING SPECIFICATIONS:
The dimension of the seminar report should be in A4 size. One copy
of the report (hard copy only) should be submitted.
3. TYPING INSTRUCTIONS:
One and a half spacing should be used for typing the general text.
The general text shall be justified and typed in the Font style
Times New Roman and Font size 12.

Subheading shall be typed in the Font style Times New Roman and
Font size 14 and bold.

Heading shall be typed in the Font style Times New Roman and
Font size 16 and bold.

4. PREPARATION FORMAT:
4.1 Cover Page & Certificate Page A specimen copy of the Cover
page & Certificate page of the seminar report has given below.

Abstract Abstract should be one page synopsis, it should
summarize the aims, conclusions and implications of the topic of your
seminar, typed with double line spacing, Font Style Times New Roman
and Font Size 12.
4.3 Table of Contents Sample copy is given below.
4.4 List of table & figures
The figures and tables must be numbered chapter wise for
e.g.: Figure 2.1 Block diagram of a serial binary adder,
Table 3.1 Primitive flow table.

Chapters
The main text will be divided into several chapters and each
chapter may be further divided into several divisions and subdivisions.
Each chapter should be given an appropriate title.
Tables and figures in a chapter should be placed in the immediate
vicinity of the reference where they are cited.
The chapters, sections and subsections may be numbered in the
decimal form for e.g. Chapter 2, sections as 2.1, 2.2 etc., and
subsections as 2.2.3, 2.5.1 etc.
Section/subsection numbers along with their headings must be left
justified with section number and its heading in font size 16 and
subsection and its heading in font size 14. The body or the text of
the report should have font size 12.
Important equations must be numbered in decimal form for e.g.
V=IZ
.

All equation numbers should be right justified.

4.5 Header and footer format has given below in the sample file

4.6 Appendices Appendices are provided to give supplementary

information.
Appendices should be numbered using Arabic numerals,
e.g. Appendix 1, Appendix 2, etc. Appendices, Tables and References
appearing in appendices should be numbered and referred to at
appropriate places just as in the case of chapters.
4.7 List of References The listing of references should be typed 2 spaces
below the heading REFERENCES in alphabetical order.

Processing, Englewood, N.J., Prentice Hall, 3 Edition, 1975.
For papers Devid, Aug 1981, Insulation design to combat pollution
