The Celebration of Gods Word

The Act of Preparation

and made us a kingdom and priests to our God and Father.

To Him be glory and dominion, for ever and ever. Amen.

May grace and peace be ours in abundance this day, as we celebrate

the lives and the accomplishments of this CLASS. This is an occasion
to praise God, to be encouraged by His word, to share in the stories
of these learners, and to pray for them as they have now finished a
part of their journey and begin new adventures. As the people of God
have always done, we bring our emotions and our wishes to the
Almighty Creator who made us and loves us. Let us join ourselves in
celebration and thanksgiving for a faithful and gracious God.

The Act of Praise

Rev. Ramil P. Dew-alan
*CALL TO CELEBRATION (From Psalm 100):

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the
Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us and
we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His
Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with
praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.
For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His
faithfulness continues through all generations.
SHINE JESUS SHINE by Cliff Richard

Lord, the Light of Your Love is shining,

In the midst of the darkness shining,
Jesus, Light of the World, shine upon us,

What a wondrous time in spring when all the trees are budding;
The birds begin to sing, the flowers start their blooming.
Thats how it is with Gods love once youve experienced it.
You want to sing, its fresh like spring; you want to pass it on.
I wish for you my friend this happiness that Ive found;
You can depend on Him it matters not where youre bound,
Ill shout it from the mountain top I want my world to know
The Lord of love has come to me I want to pass it on.
It is better to light just one little candle than to stumble in the dark;
Better far that you light just one little candle, all you need is a tiny
If we all say a prayer that the world would be free;
What a wonderful dawn of a new day wed see.
And if everyone lit just one little candle;
What a bright world this would be.
O Lord God, Creator of heaven and earth,
who has called us through Christ to be partakers in this gracious
covenant: we thank you that you have inclined your servants to this
blessed and rewarding work. We beseech You to qualify us more and
more by your Holy Spirit that we may take more seriously all known
duties and responsibilities revolving upon us; that we may be regular in
attendance, diligent in preparation and loyal to our co-workers and to
our institution. We take upon ourselves with joy the yoke of obedience,
and engage ourselves, for love of You, to seek and do your perfect will.

*PRAYER OF RENEWAL (in unison):

Grant us such endowments of mind and spirit that shall equip us for
our tasks. Give us full measure of your grace and wisdom; comfort and
strengthen us in times of difficulty and adversity; and crown our labors
with a plenteous harvest. We freely and heartily yield all things to your
pleasure and disposal. May the joy of Christ be our abiding reward. And
now, O glorious and blessed God, You are ours and we are yours; and
the covenant which we have made on earth, let it be ratified in
heaven. Amen!

that no sin stood in the way of our unity. This is consonant with St. Pauls
instructions and a great tradition.

The peace of the Lord be with you.

And also with you.
Let us live in this peace of our Lord and share it with one

The Act of Dedication

(Rev. Matias C. Angiwan Jr.)
CALL FOR COVENANT RENEWAL: Brethren, you have now finished your course

and are entering into a new phase of service. The way before you is
uncertain. There shall be straights and curves, dips and rises. The
waters could be rough or smooth. By our act this afternoon, we
magnify the importance of the work of your institution, the Bureau of
Fire Protection, in the life of our nation and impress upon us the value
and dignity of your calling. As you have offered yourselves to the
service of God and nation through this institution as officers and
workers and in order that all may know that you are mindful of the
responsibilities and privileges of this service, you must believe and feel
in your hearts that you are called of God to give yourselves to the work
of service and leadership.
Christ has many services to be done: some are easy, others
difficult; some may bring honor, others reproach; some suit our natural
inclinations and temporal interests, others are so contrary. In some,
we may please God and ourselves, in others we cannot please God
except by denying ourselves. Yet the power to do all these things is
assuredly given us in Christ Jesus. If we are one at the oars and with
leadership steady at the rudder, we shall make headway.
Almighty God being our Great Navigator, we shall find safe harbor.
Therefore, let us make the covenant of God our own. Let us engage

our hearts to the Lord and resolve in His strength to move forward in
faith. Let us now, in sincere dependence on His grace and trust in His
promise yield ourselves anew to Him.
*LIGHTING THE CANDLE OF CHRIST: As the candles are being lighted by passing beginning
with the altar candles the songs are sung.

It only takes a spark to get a fire going;
And soon all those around, will warm up to its glowing.
REF. Shine, Jesus shine, fill this land with the Father's glory.
Blaze, Spirit blaze, set our hearts on fire.
Flow, river flow, flood the nations with grace and
Send forth Your word, Lord and let there be light.
Lord I come to Your awesome presence,
From the shadows into Your radiance.
By the blood I may enter Your brightness,
Search me, try me, consume all my darkness.
Shine on me, Shine on me. (Refrain)
As we gaze on Your kindly brightness.
So our faces display Your likeness.
Ever changing from glory to glory,
Mirrored here may our lives tell Your story.
Shine on me, Shine on me. (Refrain)

The Act of Confession & Absolution

Rev. Juanito B. Rivera Jr.
CALL TO PENITENCE (Pastor). Beloved in Christ, we have come together in

thanksgiving, to be encouraged by Gods most holy Word, and to find

refreshing in the body and blood of our Lord in the Eucharist. Let us,
therefore, examine ourselves before Almighty God in silence, seeking
His grace that we may draw near to Him with repentance and faith.
Let us make our humble confession that we may be reconciled anew to
Him through our Lord Jesus Christ. Come then, let us make our
Moment for silent personal confession

PRAYER OF CONFESSION in Unison (From Psalm 51): Have mercy upon us, O God,

according to your loving kindness. According to your abundant mercy,

blot out my transgressions. Wash us thoroughly from our iniquity, and
cleanse us from our sins. Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew
in us a right spirit. Cast us not away from your presence, and take not
your Holy Spirit from us. Restore to us the joy of your salvation, and
uphold us with a willing spirit.
ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS (Pastor): Brethren, God shows His love for us in that

while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. If any one is in Christ, he
is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come.
All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to Himself. If any
one does sin, we have an advocate with the Father Jesus Christ the
righteous; and He is the expiation for our sins, and for ours only, but
also for the sins of the whole world. For everyone who calls on the
name of the Lord will be saved. Almighty God have mercy upon you,
forgive you all your sins and bring you to everlasting life. Amen.

I BELIEVE in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the
Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was
crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he
rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the
right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to
judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy
catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the
resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen

The Celebration of the Holy Eucharist

The Offertory
Rev. Ramil P. Dew-alan
CALL TO THANKSGIVING: This is the joyful feast of the people of God! Come to

His sacred table, not because you must but because you may; come
not to testify that you are righteous, but that you sincerely love our
Lord Jesus Christ and desire to be His true disciples. Come not because
you are strong, but because you are weak; not because you have claim
on heavens rewards, but because in your frailty and sin you stand in
constant need of heavens mercy and grace. Come, then to the joyful
feast of the Lord. Let us prepare His table with our thank-offerings of
life and labor.
THE OFFERTORY: Presentation of lives and offerings

Salamat sa Iyo aking Panginoong Hesus

Ako'y inibig mo at inangking lubos.
Koro: Ang tanging alay ko sa Iyo aking Ama
Ang buong buhay ko puso at kaluluwa.
Hindi makayanang maipagkaloob
Mamahaling hiyas o gintong sinukob
(koro)
Aking hinihintay ang Iyong pagbabalik, Hesus
Ang makapiling Ka'y kagalakang lubos. (koro)
We lift our voices, we lift our hands,
We lift our lives, up to You we are an offering
Lord, use our voices, Lord use our hands
Lord, use our lives, they are Yours
We are an offering, we are an offering

*OFFERTORY PRAYER IN UNISON: We bring these offerings in great thanksgiving

for your continued grace and mercy Almighty God.

You have
responded to our temporal and spiritual needs and have walked with
us through our course. Now, we present ourselves before you for the
service to which You have called us with these offerings. May they be
acceptable and used for Your further care of the people through Your
Church. Amen.

Pastor: We bring these elements for the common meal we are about to

partake of: they represent the fruit of the land you have loaned to
us to use; they remind us of our common need to nourish our
bodies and to share with those who lack these necessities. They
also symbolize the sanctity of common things which you can
transform into a sacrament, a visible sign of an inward grace. Purify
