Duringthehoursthepollsareopen,apersonwhoisinthepollingplaceorwithin200feetofanyentrancetothepollingplacemaynot

Apersoncommitstheoffenseofcampaignmisconductinthethirddegreeif...thepersoniswithin200feetofanentrancetoapolling
place, and violates AS 15.15.170; or circulates cards, handbills, or marked ballots, or posts political signs or posters relating to a

Arizona

Apersonwhoknowinglyelectioneersonelectiondaywithinapollingplaceorinapublicmannerwithinseventyfivefeetofthemain
outsideentranceofapollingplaceoronsiteearlyvotinglocationisguiltyofaclass2misdemeanor.(Ariz.Rev.Stat.161018(1))
Apersonshallnotbeallowedtoremaininsidetheseventyfivefootlimitwhilethepollsareopen,exceptforthepurposeofvotingand
noelectioneeringmayoccurwithintheseventyfivefootlimit.Forthepurposesofthissection,electioneeringoccurswhenanindividual
knowingly, intentionally, by verbal expression and in order to induce or compel another person to vote in a particular manner or to
refrainfromvotingexpressessupportfororoppositiontoacandidatewhoappearsontheballotinthatelection,aballotquestionthat
appearsontheballotinthatelectionorapoliticalpartywithoneormorecandidateswhoappearontheballotinthatelection.(Ariz.

No person shall hand out or distribute or offer to hand out or distribute any campaign literature or any literature regarding any
candidateorissueontheballot,solicitsignaturesonanypetition,solicitcontributionsforanycharitableorotherpurpose,ordoany
electioneeringofanykindwhatsoeverinthebuildingorwithinonehundredfeet(100')oftheprimaryexteriorentranceusedbyvoters

measureontheballotwithin100feetofapollingplace...Prohibitedelectioneeringinformationincludes,butisnotlimitedto,anyofthe
following:(a)a display of acandidate's name, likeness,or logo; (b) adisplay of a ballot measure'snumber, title,subject,or logo; (c)
buttons,hats,pencils,pens,shirts,signs,orstickerscontainingelectioneeringinformation;(d)disseminationofaudibleelectioneering
information.(CaliforniaElectionsCodeAnn.319.5)
Colorado

Nopersonshalldoanyelectioneeringonthedayofanyelectionwithinanypollingplaceorinanypublicstreetorroomorinanypublic
mannerwithinonehundredfeetofanybuildinginwhichapollingplaceislocated.Asusedinthissection,theterm"electioneering"
includes campaigning for or against any candidate who is on the ballot or any ballot issue or ballot question that is on the ballot.
"Electioneering"alsoincludessolicitingsignaturesforacandidatepetition,arecallpetition,orapetitiontoplaceaballotissueorballot
questiononasubsequentballot."Anypersonwhoviolatesanyprovisionofthissectionisguiltyofamisdemeanor.(Colo.Rev.Stat.1

Connecticut

Onthedayofanyprimary,referendumorelection,nopersonshallsolicitonbehalfoforinoppositiontothecandidacyofanotheror
himselforonbehalfoforinoppositiontoanyquestionbeingsubmittedattheelectionorreferendum,orloiterorpeddleorofferany
advertisingmatter,ballotorcirculartoanotherpersonwithinaradiusofseventyfivefeetofanyoutsideentranceinuseasanentryto
anypollingplaceorinanycorridor,passagewayorotherapproachleadingfromanysuchoutsideentrancetosuchpollingplaceorin
anyroomopeninguponanysuchcorridor,passagewayorapproach.(Conn.Gen.Stat.9236)

Delaware

Noelectionofficer,challengeroranyotherpersonwithinthepollingplaceorwithin50feetoftheentrancetothebuildinginwhichthe
votingroomislocatedshallelectioneerduringtheconductoftheelection.Forthepurposesofthissection"electioneering"includes
political discussion of issues, candidates or partisan topics, the wearing of any button, banner or other object referring to issues,
candidates or partisan topics, the display, distribution or other handling of literature or any writing or drawing referring to issues,
candidatesorpartisantopics,thedeliberateprojectionofsoundreferringtoissues,candidatesorpartisantopicsfromloudspeakersor
otherwiseintothepollingplaceortheareawithin50feetoftheentrancetothebuildinginwhichthevotingroomislocated.(Del.Code
Ann.tit.15,4942(a);(d))

Florida

Noperson,politicalcommittee,committeeofcontinuousexistence,orothergroupororganizationmaysolicitvotersinsidethepolling
placeorwithin100feetoftheentrancetoanypollingplace,orpollingroomwherethepollingplaceisalsoapollingroom,orearly
voting site. For the purpose of this subsection, the terms solicit or solicitation shall include, but not be limited to, seeking or
attemptingtoseekanyvote,fact,opinion,orcontribution;distributingorattemptingtodistributeanypoliticalorcampaignmaterial,
leaflet,orhandout;conductingapollexceptasspecifiedinthisparagraph;seekingorattemptingtoseekasignatureonanypetition;
andsellingorattemptingtosellanyitem.(Fla.Stat.102.031(4)(a);(b))

Georgia

No person shall solicit votes in any manner or by any means or method, nor shall any person distribute or display any campaign
literature,newspaper,booklet,pamphlet,card,sign,paraphernalia,oranyotherwrittenorprintedmatterofanykind,norshallany
personsolicitsignaturesforanypetitionorconductanyexitpollorpublicopinionpollwithvotersonanydayinwhichballotsarebeing
cast:(1)within150feetoftheouteredgeofanybuildingwithinwhichapollingplaceisestablished;(2)withinanypollingplace;or(3)
within25feetofanyvoterstandinginlinetovoteatanypollingplace.(Ga.CodeAnn.212414(a))

Hawaii

Anypersonwhoremainsorloiterswithinanareaoftwohundredfeetfromtheperimeterofthepollingplaceanditsappurtenancesfor
thepurposeofcampaigningshallbeguiltyofamisdemeanor.Withintheappropriateboundaryasestablishedinsubsection(a),andthe
buildinginwhichthepollingplaceislocated,thedisplayordistributionofcampaignposters,signs,orothercampaignmaterialsforthe
purposeofsolicitingvotesfororagainstanypersonorpoliticalpartyorpositiononaquestionisprohibited.Anyvoterwhodisplays
campaign material in the polling place shall remove or cover that material before entering the polling place. (Hawaii Statutes 11
132(a);(d))
Anyperson,includingcandidatescarryingonanycampaignactivitieswithintheareadescribedinsection11132forthepurposeof
influencing votes shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Campaign activities shall include the following: (a) any distribution, circulation,
carrying,holding,posting,orstakingofcampaigncards,pamphlets,postersandotherliterature;(b)theuseofpublicaddresssystems
andotherpubliccommunicationmedia;(c)Theuseofmotorcaravansorparades;and(d)theuseofentertainmenttroupesorthefree
distributionofgoodsandservices.(HawaiiStatutes196(7))

Idaho

Ontheday of any primary,general or special election,no person may, within apollingplace, or anybuilding inwhich an election is
beingheld,orwithinonehundred(100)feetthereof:(a)doanyelectioneering;(b)circulatecardsorhandbillsofanykind;(c)solicit
signaturestoanykindofpetition;or(d)engageinanypracticewhichinterfereswiththefreedomofvoterstoexercisetheirfranchise
ordisruptstheadministrationofthepollingplace.(IdahoCode182318(1))

Illinois

Nojudgeofelection,pollwatcher,orotherpersonshall,atanyprimaryorelection,doanyelectioneeringorsolicitingofvotesorengage
inanypoliticaldiscussionwithinanypollingplace,within100feetofanypollingplace,or,attheoptionofachurchorprivateschool,on
anyofthepropertyofthatchurchorprivateschoolthatisapollingplace(10Ill.Comp.Stat.5/1729(a))

Indiana

A person who knowingly does any electioneering on election day within the polls, or the chutecommits a Class A misdemeanor.
Electioneering"includesexpressingsupportoroppositiontoanycandidateorpoliticalpartyorexpressingapprovalordisapprovalof
anypublicquestioninanymannerthatcouldreasonablybeexpectedtoconveythatsupportoroppositiontoanotherindividual.The
termdoesnotincludeexpressingsupportoroppositiontoacandidateorapoliticalpartyorexpressingapprovalordisapprovalofa
publicquestioninmaterialmailedtoavoteroratelephoneoranelectroniccommunicationwithavoter.(Ind.Code314316).

Apersoncommitsthecrimeofelectionmisconductinthethirddegreeifthepersonwillfullycommitsanyofthefollowingacts.on

eitheronthepremisesofapollingplaceorwithinthreehundredfeetofanoutsidedoorofabuildingaffordingaccesstoaroomwhere
thepollsareheld,orofanoutsidedoorofabuildingaffordingaccesstoahallway,corridor,stairway,orothermeansofreachingthe
roomwherethepollsareheld.(IowaCode39A.4(1)(a)(1))
Kansas

Electioneering is knowingly attempting to persuade or influence eligible voters to vote for or against a particular candidate, party or
question submitted. Electioneering includes wearing, exhibiting or distributing labels, signs, posters, stickers or other materials that
clearlyidentifyacandidateintheelectionorclearlyindicatesupportoroppositiontoaquestionsubmittedelectionwithinanypolling
placeonelectiondayoradvancevotingsiteduringthetimeperiodallowedbylawforcastingaballotbyadvancevotingorwithina
radiusof250feetfromtheentrancethereof.Electioneeringshallnotincludebumperstickersaffixedtoamotorvehiclethatisusedto
transportvoterstoapollingplaceortoanadvancevotingsiteforthepurposeofvoting.(Kan.Stat.Ann.252430(a))

Kentucky

Nopersonshallelectioneeratthepollingplaceonthedayofanyelectionwithinadistanceofthreehundred(300)feetofanyentrance
toabuildinginwhichavotingmachineislocatedifthatentranceisunlockedandisusedbyvotersonelectionday,unlessthefiscal
court or legislative body of an urbancounty, charter county, or consolidated local government, on a countywide basis, specifically
prohibitselectioneeringonthedayofanyelectionbyordinanceforadistancegreaterthanthreehundred(300)feetfromthepolling
place.(Ky.Rev.Stat.Ann.117.235(3))

Louisiana

Exceptasotherwisespecificallyprovidedbylaw,itshallbeunlawfulforanypersontoperformorcausetobeperformedanyofthe
followingactswithinanypollingplacebeingusedinanelectiononelectiondayorwithinaradiusofsixhundredfeetoftheentranceto
anypollingplacebeingusedinanelectiononelectionday:(1)tosolicitinanymannerorbyanymeanswhatsoeveranyotherpersonto
votefororagainstanycandidateorpropositionbeingvotedoninsuchelection;(2)toremainwithinanysuchpollingplaceorwithina
radius of six hundred feet of the entrance of any such polling place, except when exercising the right to vote, after having been
directedtoleavethepremisesorareaofapollingplace;(3)tohandout,place,ordisplaycampaigncards,pictures,orothercampaign
literatureofanykindordescriptionwhatsoever;(4)toplaceordisplaypoliticalsigns,pictures,orotherformsofpoliticaladvertising;(5)
tocirculatearecallpetitionorseekhandwrittensignaturestoarecallpetition.(LouisianaRev.Statutes181462(A)).

Maine

On public property within 250 feet of the entrance to the voting place as well as within the voting place itself, a person may not

influenceanotherperson'sdecisionregardingacandidateorquestionthatisontheballotfortheelectionthatday.Theselimitationsdo
not prohibit a candidate from attending the voting place and orally communicating with voters as long as the candidate does not

A person may not display advertising material; operate an advertising medium, including a sound amplification device; or distribute
campaignliterature,posters,palmcards,buttons,badgesorstickerscontainingacandidate'snameorotherwiseintendingtoinfluence
theopinionofanyvoterregardingacandidateorquestionthatisontheballotfortheelectionthatdayonanypublicpropertylocated
within250feetoftheentrancetoeitherthevotingplaceorthebuildinginwhichtheregistrar'sofficeislocated.Thissubsectiondoes

notapplytoadvertisingmaterialonautomobilestravelingtoandfromthevotingplaceforthepurposesofvoting.Itdoesnotprohibita
personwhoisatthepollssolelyforthepurposeofvotingfromwearingacampaignbuttonwhenthelongestdimensionofthebutton
doesnotexceed3inches.(21AMe.Rev.Stat.Ann.682(3)).
Maryland

Maryland law prohibits electioneering within 100 feet of the entrance or exit to a polling place on Election Day. The 100foot No
Electioneeringzoneismeasuredfromtheentrance/exitofthebuildingclosesttotheroominwhichvotingactuallytakesplace.No
electioneering means that no canvassing, electioneering, campaigning, or posting of any campaign material is permitted within the
zone."Postingofanycampaignmaterial"includeswearingclothingshirt,hat,sticker,orbuttonthatindicatessupportoforopposition
to any candidate, question, or political party if worn by any person allowed to remain in the No Electioneering zone. However,
electioneeringdoesnotapplytoavotergoingtovoteinhisorherpollingplace.Apersononhisorherwaytovotemaywearcampaign
paraphernalia or carry campaign literature if the voter leaves the zone promptly after voting. (Maryland State Board of Elections

Massachusetts

Within150feetofapollingplacenopersonshallsolicitvotesfororagainst,orotherwisepromoteoroppose,anypersonorpolitical
partyorpositiononaballotquestion,tobevotedonatthecurrentelection.Nocampaignmaterialintendedtoinfluencethevoteofa
voterintheongoingelection,includingcampaignliterature,buttons,signs,andballotstickers,maybeposted,exhibited,circulated,or
distributedinthepollingplace,inthebuildingwhereitislocated,onthebuildingwalls,onthepremiseswherethebuildingstands,or
within150feetofanentrancedoortothebuilding.(950CMR53.03(18);54.04.22))

Michigan

Anelectioninspectororanyotherpersoninapollingroom,inacompartmentconnectedtoapollingroom,orwithin100feetfromany
entrancetoabuildinginwhichapollingplaceislocatedshallnotpersuadeorendeavortopersuadeapersontovotefororagainstany
particularcandidateorpartyticketorfororagainstanyballotquestionthatisbeingvotedonattheelection.Apersonshallnotplaceor
distributestickers,otherthanstickersprovidedbytheelectionofficialspursuanttolaw,inapollingroom,inacompartmentconnected
to a polling room, or within 100 feet from any entrance to a building in which a polling place is located. A person shall not solicit
donations,gifts,contributions,purchaseoftickets,orsimilardemands,orrequestorobtainsignaturesonpetitionsinapollingroom,in
acompartmentconnectedtoapollingroom,orwithin100feetfromanyentrancetoabuildinginwhichapollingplaceislocated.On
election day, a person shallnot post, display, ordistribute in a pollingplace, in any hallway usedby voters to enter or exit a polling
place,orwithin100feetofanentrancetoabuildinginwhichapollingplaceislocatedanymaterialthatdirectlyorindirectlymakes

insidethebuildinginwhichapollingplaceislocatedorwithintwentyfivefeetofthebuilding'souterdoorclosesttothepollingplace,
or,onthepartofanyperson,refusingtoremoveorpermitremovalfrompropertyownedorcontrolledbyhim,anysuchelectionsignor
literaturelocatedwithinsuchdistanceonsuchdayafterrequestforremovalbyanyperson.(Mo.Rev.Stat.15637(18))

Montana

Apersonmaynotdoanyelectioneeringonelectiondaywithinanypollingplaceoranybuildinginwhichanelectionisbeingheldor
within100feetofanyentrancetothebuildinginwhichthepollingplaceislocated,whichaidsorpromotesthesuccessordefeatofany
candidateorballotissuetobevoteduponattheelection.Apersonmaynotbuy,sell,give,wear,ordisplayatoraboutthepollsonan
electiondayanybadge,button,orotherinsigniawhichisdesignedortendstoaidorpromotethesuccessordefeatofanycandidateor
ballotissuetobevoteduponattheelection.Apersonwithinapollingplaceoranybuildinginwhichanelectionisbeingheldmaynot
solicitfromanelector,beforeoraftertheelectorhasmarkedaballotandreturnedittoanelectionjudge,informationastowhether

Nebraska

Nopersonshalldoanyelectioneering,circulatepetitions,orperformanyactionthatinvolvessolicitationwithinanypollingplaceorany
buildingdesignatedforvoterstocastballotsbytheelectioncommissionerorcountyclerkpursuanttotheElectionActwhilethepolling
placeorbuildingissetupforvoterstocastballotsorwithintwohundredfeetofanysuchpollingplaceorbuilding.Anypersonviolating
thissectionshallbeguiltyofaClassVmisdemeanor.(Neb.Rev.Stat.321524(2))

Nevada

Itisunlawfulinsideapollingplaceorwithin100feetfromtheentrancetothebuildingorotherstructureinwhichapollingplaceis
located:(a) foranypersontosolicitavoteorspeaktoavoteronthesubjectofmarkingthevotersballot;(b)foranyperson,including
an election board officer, to do any electioneering on election day. The provisions of subsection 1 do not apply to the conduct of a
personinaprivateresidenceoroncommercialorresidentialpropertythatiswithin100feetfromtheentrancetoabuildingorother
structure in which a polling place is located. As used in this section, electioneering means campaigning for or against a candidate,
ballotquestionorpoliticalpartyby:(a) postingsignsrelatingtothesupportoforoppositiontoacandidate,ballotquestionorpolitical
party; (b) distributing literature relating to the support of or opposition to a candidate, ballot question or political party; (c) using

loudspeakers to broadcast information relating to the support of or opposition to a candidate, ballot question or political party; (d)
buying,selling,wearingordisplayinganybadge,buttonorotherinsignewhichisdesignedortendstoaidorpromotethesuccessor
defeatofanypoliticalpartyoracandidateorballotquestiontobevoteduponatthatelection;or(e) solicitingsignaturestoanykindof

NewHampshire

Nopersonwhoisacandidateforofficeorwhoisrepresentingorworkingforacandidateshalldistributeorpostatapollingplaceany
campaignmaterialintheformofaposter,card,handbill,placard,picture,orcircularwhichisintendedtoinfluencetheactionofthe
voterwithinthebuildingwheretheelectionisbeingheld.Nopersonwhoisacandidateforofficeorwhoisrepresentingorworkingfor
a candidate shall distribute any campaign materials or perform any electioneering activities or any activity which affects the safety,
welfare and rights of voters within a corridor 10 feet wide and extending a distance from the entrance door of the building as
determinedbythemoderatorwheretheelectionisbeingheld.(N.H.Rev.Stat.Ann.659:43)

NewJersey

If a person shall on election day tamper,deface or interfere with any pollingbooth or obstruct the entrance toanypolling place, or
obstructorinterferewithanyvoter,orloiterinornearthepollingplace,or,withthepurposetoobstructorinterferewithanyvoteror
toundulydelayothervotersfromvoting,spendaninordinateamountoftimeinthepollingbooth,ordoanyelectioneeringwithinany
pollingplaceorwithinonehundredfeetthereof,heshallbeguiltyofacrimeofthethirddegree.(N.J.Stat.Ann.19:346)
Ifapersonshalldistributeordisplayanycircularorprintedmatterorofferanysuggestionorsolicitanysupportforanycandidate,party
orpublicquestionwithinthepollingplaceorroomorwithinadistanceofonehundredfeetoftheoutsideentrancetosuchpollingplace

NewMexico

Electioneeringtooclosetothepollingplaceconsistsofanyformofcampaigningwithin:(1)onehundredfeetofthebuildinginwhich
thepollingplaceislocatedonelectiondaywhenvotingataschool,churchorprivateresidence;and(2)onehundredfeetofthedoor
through which voters may enter to vote at the office of the county clerk, an alternate voting location, a mobile voting site or any
locationusedasapollingplaceonelectiondaythatisnotaschool,churchorprivateresidence.Electioneeringincludesthedisplayor

Whilethepollsareopennopersonshalldoanyelectioneeringwithinthepollingplace,orinanypublicstreet,withinaonehundred
footradialmeasuredfromtheentrancesdesignatedbytheinspectorsofelection,tosuchpollingplaceorwithinsuchdistanceinany
placeinapublicmanner;andnopoliticalbanner,button,posterorplacardshallbeallowedinoruponthepollingplaceorwithinsuch

NorthCarolina

Nopersonorgroupofpersonsshallhinderaccess,harassothers,distributecampaignliterature,placepoliticaladvertising,solicitvotes,
orotherwiseengageinelectionrelatedactivityinthevotingplaceorinabufferzonewhichshallbeprescribedbythecountyboardof
electionsaroundthevotingplace.Indeterminingthedimensionsofthatbufferzoneforeachvotingplace,thecountyboardofelections
shall,wherepractical,setthelimitat50feetfromthedoorofentrancetothevotingplace,measuredwhenthatdoorisclosed,butin

noeventshallitsetthelimitatmorethan50feetoratlessthan25feet.Exceptasprovidedinsubsection(b)ofthissection,thecounty
boardofelectionsshallalsoprovideanareaadjacenttothebufferzoneforeachvotingplaceinwhichpersonsorgroupsofpersons

NorthDakota

Anindividualmaynotask,solicit,orinanymannertrytoinduceorpersuade,anyvoterwithinapollingplaceorwithinonehundred
feet[30.48meters]fromtheentrancetotheroomcontainingapollingplacewhileitisopenforvotingtovoteorrefrainfromvotingfor
anycandidateorthecandidatesorticketofanypoliticalpartyororganization,oranymeasuresubmittedtothepeople.Thedisplay
uponmotorvehiclesofadhesivesignswhicharenotreadilyremovableandwhichpromotethecandidacyofanyindividual,anypolitical
party, or a vote upon any measure, and political advertisements promoting the candidacy of any individual,political party, ora vote
upon any measure which are displayed on fixed permanent billboards, may not, however, be deemed a violation of this section. A
vehicle or movable sign of any type containing a political message may be allowed to remain within the restricted area only for the
periodoftimenecessaryfortheowneroroperatorofthevehicleorsigntocompletetheactofvoting.Exceptasprovidedinsubsection
1,asignplacedonprivatepropertywhichdisplaysapoliticalmessagemaynotberestrictedbyapoliticalsubdivision,includingahome
rulecityorcounty,unlessthepoliticalsubdivisiondemonstratesaburdentothepublicsafety.(N.D.Cent.Code16.11006).

Ohio

TwoormoresmallflagsoftheUnitedStatesapproximatelyfifteeninchesinlengthalongthetop,whichshallbeplacedatadistanceof
one hundred feet from the polling place on the thoroughfares or walkways leading to the polling place, to mark the distance within
whichpersonsotherthanelectionofficials,observers,policeofficers,andelectorswaitingtomark,marking,orcastingtheirballotsshall
notloiter,congregate,orengageinanykindofelectioncampaigning.Wheresmallflagscannotreasonablybeplacedonehundredfeet
fromthepollingplace,thepresidingelectionjudgeshallplacetheflagsasneartoonehundredfeetfromtheentrancetothepolling
placeasisphysicallypossible.Policeofficersandallelectionofficialsshallseethatthisprohibitionagainstloiteringandcongregatingis

Duringanelectionandthecountingoftheballots,nopersonshalldoanyofthefollowing:(1)loiter,congregate,orengageinanykind
ofelectioncampaigningwithintheareabetweenthepollingplaceandthesmallflagsoftheUnitedStatesplacedonthethoroughfares
andwalkwaysleadingtothepollingplace,andifthelineofelectorswaitingtovoteextendsbeyondthosesmallflags,withintenfeetof
anyelectorinthatline(5)solicitorinanymannerattempttoinfluenceanyelectorincastingtheelectorsvote.(OhioRev.CodeAnn.

Oklahoma

Anypersonwhoelectioneerswithinthreehundred(300)feetofanyballotboxwhileanelectionisinprogress,andanypersonexcept
electionofficialsandotherpersonsauthorizedbylawwhoremainswithinfifty(50)feetofanyballotboxwhileanelectionisinprogress
shallbedeemedguiltyofamisdemeanor.(OklahomaStatutes2616111).

Oregon

Apersonmaynotdoanyelectioneering,includingcirculatinganycardsorhandbills,orsolicitingofsignaturestoanypetition,withinany
buildinginwhichanystateorlocalgovernmentelectionsofficedesignatedforthedepositofballotsunderORS254.470islocated,or
within100feetmeasuredradiallyfromanyentrancetothebuilding.Apersonmaynotdoanyelectioneeringbypublicaddresssystem
locatedmorethan100feetfromanentrancetothebuildingifthepersoniscapableofbeingunderstoodwithin100feetofthebuilding.

Theelectioneeringneednotrelatetotheelectionbeingconducted.Thissubsectionappliesduringtheperiodbeginningonthedatethat
ballotsaremailedtoelectorsandendingonelectiondayat8p.m.orwhenallpersonswaitinginlineatthebuildingwhobegantheact
ofvotingby8p.m.havefinishedvoting.(Or.Rev.Stat.Ann.260.695).
Pennsylvania

Noperson,whenwithinthepollingplace,shallelectioneerorsolicitvotesforanypoliticalparty,politicalbodyorcandidate,norshall
anywrittenorprintedmatterbepostedupwithinthesaidroom,exceptasrequiredbythisact.Allpersons,exceptelectionofficers,
clerks,machineinspectors,overseers,watchers,personsinthecourseofvoting,personslawfullygivingassistancetovoters,andpeace
andpoliceofficers,whenpermittedbytheprovisionsofthisact,mustremainatleastten(10)feetdistantfromthepollingplaceduring

SouthCarolina

Itisunlawfulonanelectiondaywithintwohundredfeetofanyentranceusedbythevoterstoenterthepollingplaceforapersonto
distributeanytypeofcampaignliteratureorplaceanypoliticalposters.Thepollmanagershalluseeveryreasonablemeanstokeepthe
area within two hundred feet of any such entrance clear of political literature and displays, and the county and municipal law
enforcementofficers,uponrequestofapollmanager,shallremoveorcausetoberemovedanymaterialwithintwohundredfeetof
any such entrance distributed or displayed in violation of this section. A candidate may wear within two hundred feet of the polling
placealabelnolargerthanfourandonefourthinchesbyfourandonefourthinchesthatcontainsthecandidate'snameandtheoffice
he is seeking. If the candidate enters the polling place, he may not display any of this identification including, but not limited to,

maintainanofficeorpublicaddresssystem,oruseanycommunicationorphotographicdeviceinamannerwhichrepeatedlydistracts,
interrupts,orintimidatesanyvoterorelectionworker,ordisplaycampaignposters,signs,orothercampaignmaterialsorbyanylike
meanssolicitanyvotesfororagainstanypersonorpoliticalpartyorpositiononaquestionsubmittedorwhichmaybesubmitted.No
personmayengageinanypracticewhichinterfereswiththevoter'sfreeaccesstothepollsordisruptstheadministrationofthepolling
place,orconductanypetitionsignaturegathering,onthedayofanelectionwithinonehundredfeetofapollingplace.Aviolationof

Apersonmaynot,withinapollingplaceorinanypublicareawithin150feetofthebuildingwhereapollingplaceislocated:(i)doany

interfereswiththefreedomofvoterstovoteordisruptstheadministrationofthepollingplace.Acounty,municipality,schooldistrict,
orlocaldistrictmaynotprohibitelectioneeringthatoccursmorethan150feetfromthebuildingwhereapollingplaceislocated,but
mayregulatetheplaceandmannerofthatelectioneeringtoprotectthepublicsafety.Electioneering"includesanyoral,printed,or

Vermont

The presiding officer shall insure during polling hours that: (1) within the building containing a polling place, no campaign literature,
stickers, buttons, name stamps, information on writein candidates or other political materials are displayed, placed, handed out or
allowed to remain; and (2) within the building containing a polling place, no candidate, election official or other person distributes
electionmaterials,solicitsvoters,orotherwisecampaigns.(Vt.Stat.Ann.tit.17,2508)

Duringthetimesthepollsareopenandballotsarebeingcounted,itshallbeunlawfulforanyperson(i)toloiterorcongregatewithin40
