Objective/Career Goal:
I want to involve myself in research activities in the field of Chemical

Undergraduate Thesis:

Title: Recycling of PET bottles by chemical dissolution process.


Abstract: A chemical dissolution process was developed and experimented to establish its
possibility for recycling PET bottles in lab scale. In this process Cyclohexanone was used as a solvent
to dissolve non colored PET flakes at 1550C. Then the cooled solvent with dissolved PET was filtered
& the precipitated PET was dried. The solvent was recovered from the process for further use.

Undergraduate Design Project:

Title: Design of a phosphoric acid plant.


Design definition: A phosphoric acid plant has to be set up at port city Chittagong. The plant
shall produce 100 tons per day of 52% P2O5 (w/w) merchant grade phosphoric acid by wet process.
The plant is based on Moroccan rock & sulfuric acid of 98% purity. All the utilities such as water,
electricity, natural gas are available. Number of stream days per year will be 300 days. The byproduct
produced in the process is gypsum or phosphogypsum and this has no specific use by the plant itself.
