#Take note that the exam paper for HPGD 3103 comprises 2 sections; Section A and
Section B.
1. Section A consist of 2 questions. You are required to answer ALL questions (2
questions). Each question carries 20 marks. You are expected to give at least
5 points/facts to score 20 marks. Take note that if the questions requires you
to support with examples, then the example provided will carry marks as well.
As such questions requiring examples as part of answers, has to be answered
with examples to score higher.
2. Part B consists of 5 questions. You are required to answer only 3 questions.
Each question in Part B is divided into 2 subsection. For example Question 1
will have question 1 a and questuion 1 b. Each part of the question carries 10
marks. Similar to Part B, if the questions requires examples as supportive of
answers, then you ought to provide the examples to score higher.

3. Technology in teaching does not focus solely on the use of hardware, but
places more emphasis on the systematic application of scientific knowledge
and other organized knowledge to practical task of teaching and learning.

4. Apply selected instructional media affects teaching and learning greatly. The
media selected should be able to communicate the content to the student.
Discuss factors that need to be considered when selecting an instructional
media. Support your answers with suitable examples.
You are asked to design an instruction based on behaviorist theory for a group
of juvenile students. Discuss the type of enforcement (action) that you will
apply in order to bring best responses from the student.
7. Web 2.0 applications provides students with opportunities to learn beyond the
classroom.
Explain how web 2.0 applications can be applied in the teaching and learning
process. Include suitable applications of the web 2.0 technology.
Teachers need sound pedagogical knowledge to be able to perform well as teachers.
They need to:
* understand and design good lessons using ID models
* apply good teaching and learning strategies
* create active learning for their students
* know how to create good learning outcome statements
* identify and use instructional media to the best
* understand the educational potentials of latest technology tools and applications
* use technology tools and applications to enhance teaching and learning
* prepare students to meet the current competency demand
