Medical Tourism is an evolving industry in Asia; Philippines have the advantage for its
demand because it is one of the countries that possess a rich natural built environment
that is suitable for the improvement of health and wellness. For this study, the proponent
will addressed about the lack of integrated medical facilities that could possibly a
contributing factor to the healing and renewal of a tourist or local patient without
compromising the delight of having the natural environment.

Every person has its own rights to live in a barrier free society, but for those who belong
to the PWDs an issue of having an equal accessibility and opportunity is very evident.
The aim of the proponent for this study is to create a livable environment for PWDS
wherein they will not just only be treated but also will be trained that is intended for their
daily activities. This study will also promote self-sustaining living for disable people
through the acquired abilities and knowledge inside the community.

Education of less privilege children is one of the main issues in a developing country
since learning is less prioritizes due to forced labor just to sustain their family income.
The purpose of this study is to be able to create a prototype of an educational and
community facility that would not just impart basic literacy skills but also an education
through experience and interaction with different groups of people. The thesis proposes
learning both in manual skills and formal education. Lastly, it aims to involve community
in some skillful activities

SAFE HAVEN: Proposed Therapeutic Center for Trauma (A Sustainable healing


environment for Traumatic Experiences)
Abstract of the Proposal (short description in less than 80 words)
Battered woman and abused child are just some people who can experience trauma; it
is caused by those unnecessary events in their lives that trigger their brains to function
improperly. The study is about creating a calming environment and treatment center for
a person with trauma. The project will provide facilities such as therapeutic therapies
that would enable for them to recover in a normal state. The unique piece for this center
is that it includes a nature intensive and adventure-based therapy that is decent for
psychological modification.
