Please enter above similar type information (Desktop Name your desktop) in device side Cellica
Database Anywhere application in Preferences module. In Preferences first, set the Application
Type to Enterprise .
Note: If you have any third party firewall software, you must allow incoming and outgoing
connections for Cellica Database software.

nges. Use Cancel button to ignore the changes.
1.3.5.1 Default
Find button with Option property set to Default will show default search options on
device as shown in following figure.
1.3.5.2 Barcode
Find button with Option property set to Barcode Scan will open barcode scanner view on
device. On scanning the desired barcode, search result will be displayed on the form
1.3.5.3 Advance Search
Tap on the find button with option Advance Search will show advance search options
on device as shown in following figure.
Advance search supports three options 1) Search Date, 2) Search Number and 3) Search Text
This property allows searching following options:
1) Search Date
a) = (Equal to) Records with same date in selected field(s).
b) (Not equal to) Records which are not having same date in selected field(s).
c) Between Records which have date values between two specified dates in selected field(s).
d) Not Between Records which do not have date values between two specified dates in
selected field(s).
2) Search Number
a) = (Equal to) Records with same number in selected field(s).
b) (Not Equal to) Records which are not having same number in selected field(s).
c) (Less than) - Records which have value less than number in selected field(s).
d) (Less than or equal to) Records which have value less than or equal to number in selected
field(s).
e) (Greater than) Records which have value greater than number in selected field(s).
f) (Greater than or equal to) Records which have value greater than or equal to number in
selected field(s).
g) Between Records which have value between two specified numbers in selected field(s).
h) Not Between Records which do not have value between two specified numbers in selected
field.
Following example will illustrate you how to search number between specified range.
First select the field in which you want to search number between a specified range. You need to
tap on Search in option of Advance Search then column list of profile will be displayed
as shown in following screen shot.
Once you have selected the desired field to be search within then you need to tap on Search
Number option of Advance Search then following screen will be displayed to enter number
for search.
You need to select the operator Between to search number between specified ranges.
See following figure.

Tap on Done button on navigation bar of this view. Then following screen will be appear,
You can rotate it to check values of individual sectors and to see details of it.

In Multiple Record View (Grid View), Android Phone/Tablet user will able to view database
Contents in Column view form. This has many features.

Search Contents
To search a particular string within the selected database, you can use "Find" menu options
Available in both "Multiple Record View" and "Single Record view.
You can search data in single column also, you need to unchecked Search all fields opt
ion on Find form, then select the required field from the available list of fields.
1.4.4
Backup Manager is a tool to view or store old copies of updated data from device or desktop. It
can be very useful in events such as if same record is updated from desktop and device, IN such
a case device side record is get overwrite by desktop version of record. But you can get the copy
of device version of record in Backup Manager.

1.4.5 Preferences
In Preferences form you can change, Syncing option, Date and Time formats.
Connection Settings
This is view only setting. You can see "Application Type" (and "Desktop Name"). Once you sync your
profiles and forms assigned to this device from desktop software by using "Sync" option on home screen
of Cellica Database application.

Administrative Settings
These settings will be received from desktop application which administrator can assign to your
device.
1) Sync Mode = i) Manual Sync ii) Auto Sync
If Sync Mode is Auto Sync then user can set following options
a) Stop instant auto sync. = On/Off
- If this option is Off then record save/remove will be sync instantly on device.
- If this option is On then record save/remove will not be sync instantly on device. User
need to sync manually.
b) Refresh auto number column data = On/Off
- If this option is On with option Stop Instant auto sync is Off then on device with
new record save of auto number profile the auto number will get updated.
- If this option is Off then on device with new record save of auto number profile the
auto number will not be updated.
2) StartupForm - Startup form can be applied from desktop and after sync it will be set on
device.
Administrator will set permissions on desktop application for device preferences as mentioned
below,
a) Don t Show = on device Administrative Settings will not be displayed.
b) Show But don t Allow to change = on device Administrative Settings will be
displayed but not allowed to change.
c) Allow to change = On device Administrative Settings will be displayed and allowed to
change if user enter correct preferences password applied from desktop.
In Synchronization Settings, Default option has been set to Auto . Auto sync option, will
synchronize your data automatically according to time set for AutoSync Time . This will work
when Cellica Database application open on iPad. Also this Auto mode, sync your updated record
immediately to Server after Add/Edit/Delete records. If you do not want to sync data with desktop
after each update on device, then set Syncing Mode to Manual. Now to synchronize with desktop
database, you need to use
Remember, due to Manual sync mode, your device side changes reflect to your desktop only
when you will use
Home Screen:
Home screen settings are not allowed to change on device application; it will be set
from desktop application.
On device you can only view these settings which are received from desktop
application.
Startup Form:
If Startup form is applied by administrator from desktop application after sync it will be
set on device.
You can set any form as Startup form if administrator granted the permission to change
it.
Startup form will get displayed on starting the device application of Cellica
Database .

Personal Settings
You can set date format to display date in date-time control or grid according to this format.
Supported following date format,
You can set time format to display time in date-time control or grid according to this format.
Supported following time format,
You can set image quality of image data to be add/update image record on form or profile.
Then image will be saved according to this quality in record.
Default image quality set to 25%.
Image Rotation:
You can set angle of rotation for image to be taken from camera or photo gallery on device.
Then image will be rotated according to this angle on image control and saved in record.
Default angle of image rotation for Gallery: 0, Camera: 0.
Search Mode:
Supported search mode on profile grid as Default or Barcode .
You can use it on profile grid search button to search accordingly this search mode.
Instant Barcode Scan:
You can use this option if search mode is Barcode and Instant barcode scan option is
set to ON then on profile grid search it will show result on profile grid instantly once barcode
scanned successfully.
If ON then on record save operation the device application will not ask for confirmation.
If OFF then on record save operation the device application will ask for confirmation.
If ON then application will start updating current location of device and on new/edit mode current
location details will be displayed in Location control on form.

On clicking this Scan Barcode menu, you will get another dialog, where you have to select
type of bar code you want to scan ( Scan QR Code/ Scan Product/Auto Detect ).
Software will scan the Bar code according to this and display data in text box.
Scan QR Code: Use this option to scan QR Code.
Scan Product: Use this option to scan One Dimensional Bar codes on products.
Auto Detect: Use this option, if you do not know the Bar code type.
You can get barcode scanning option in Text Box control on forms, Search Field and in editing
profile data.
Also if you can set Content Type property of Text Box control to QR Code and on
tapping on this Text Box control will start the Camera for scanning QR code.
PS: To enable barcode scanning functionality on your device, you should have installed "Barcode
Scanner" application on your Android device.
