Changing the Environment from the Negative

to the Positive
By Vijaya Kumar Veluthakkal
How does one person change his/her ENVIRONMENT from the Negative to the Positive?
According to Directive Communication Psychology, our Environment is maintained by us. It is
we, who have to settle whether we have to steer the transformation. We build or break the
Environment for Well-being or Bad.
How does the Environment influence us?
There are Basic Human Encoded ASSUMPTIONS which enable people think in a specific
manner which may not be always the right way. It has an impact on the way someone thinks,
reaction with people influence, people reacting in turn, ones generating a way of thinking, which
we name Encoded Assumptions.
For Example,
1) People normally believe that what they Perceive and Experience is Real.
This is founded on our genetic Brain processor controlled by ones experience, emotions, and
fears, assumptions and expectations one has in life.
People act crazy because other people seeing the experience and believe the people Reality.
2) Another assumption is that If one can do a thing then it should also be possible for others.
This is also a wrong assumption. Perceptions vary from person to person and the same
assumption is not applicable for all. Each person is under some Encoded Assumptions built up
differently over a period of time. Those include childhood grooming, family involvement, local
environment,
school
experience
and
social
contacts
etc.,
Individual behavior varies from one to another.
3) People should be Fair This is also an encoded assumption as there cannot be Fairness the
way one anticipates to happen, as the whole world behaves in an unfair manner, such as
CORRUPTION, DISHONESTY, DEMOTIVATION and Gap between the Rich and the Poor.
4) Truth is Universal - This is another assumption and the statement is not based on the truth.
As everybody believes that the world is full of untruth.

So now, how does an individual understand his Inner personality and have an impact on the
environment?
We have to change our traditional Encoded Assumption.
What is the process to do this?
We need to violate our Encoded Assumption (Conventionally programmed way of thinking)
How do we do it?
We have to think differently and act Intelligently.
How do we attain it?
a) From Impossible way of thinking to Possible way of thinking of achievement of objectives.
b) Focus towards the Objectives rather than too much brooding over the process to attain it.
c) Work on ones Strength by further developing on it, rather than Worrying on the weakness
which distracts from ones achieving the Objectives.
Just remove the Weaknesses with the help of strong desire to make a change of the Encoded
Assumptions by our Reticular Activating System (RAS) which observes the necessity of this new
change and act in the proper way supported by the Emotional Drive which every human being
possesses. This is known as the Internal Radar. This RAS(Internal Radar) enable everyone to
observe something that requires attention and based on the nature of change required in ones
environment, perpetuate (continuous reminder) to act in a specific way of behavior. The RAS
helps a person to observe the required changes in the behavior and process it continuously with
the Emotional Drives triggered duly supported through the brain by the Control Centre (Sub
conscious-Cognitive Brain) and gets executed by our Intelligence (Conscious Cognitive Brain)
executing the process of our another part of the brain. Thus, the new Emotional Drives which is
now newly in operation, will let an individual to exhibit in his body and thus change the Body
Posture and thus releases the Right Energy to make things happen the way he likes - To to attain
the goals. (This is how we change the environment by our influence of Acting Intelligently)
E.g., A Football player who failed to perform will in the previous game without scoring any
goals can, with the help of this system of Directive Communication Psychology, be a Positive
influence in winning the next game with his remarkable contributions of scoring 3 goals.
Now things start changing for this winner from the Inside out and thus change the environment
which turns around in the winners favor and thus he moves around with the new environment.
Now during this change of the Environment of the Football player after his poor performance,
the following reactions which in Directive Psychological term, is known as The Rules of
Engagement, will distract the player as listed :-

1)

Worrying on his weak and poor performance of the last game.

2)

Disappointment on the poor performance resulting in Shame about himself.

3)

Fear about whether the player will be retained or not in the team.

All these negative reactions and thoughts will pull him down and can create a very negative
environment.
This is the proper time when the player exercises his Circle of Endurance by expanding it and
concentrating on improved performance applying RAS, and wins the next game as his new
objective. The player exercises a renewed vigor and the Emotional Drive towards the next game
to be Obtained with Significance, will operate through his Limbic Brain and exhibited through
the Cognitive Brain, in the body posture, showing an expression of confidence and courage.
This approach will certainly enable the football player to achieve in the next game, what he
earlier found as Difficult after the defeat, thus helping the team to win the match by his
stupendous performance.
This also requires his Emotional Drive to intensify its Significance/Achievement Drive, by
promoting the required body posture with following declarations to neutralize the Rules of
Engagement which has a negative influence on the players performance:- I defeat the enemy by eliminating my Fear of Failure in the following game.
- I am on my way to success despite complications of the path.
- I am all the more able to get rid of my anger, disappointment, shame on the previous
performance by the Positive and renewed energy of desire to win.
- I am very confident about a stupendous performance of my leading influence to make the team
win the game with my own individual better performance.
In conclusion, the player develops a new environment wherein everyone looks at him with a
Winner attitude unlike the previous time of Defeated outlook.
