PHILIPPINE JUSTICE SYSTEM: GOVERNMENT'S MIRROR OF CHANGE 2010

One of my instructor before have commented that the Philippine government will never

prosper unless corruption and injustice eliminated and our rulers would serve this country with

honesty and security.

Consequently, what she said was true. Few years back, our country has excelled in the

field of economy, education, and peace and order. Now, we experienced the same rank but with

different and opposing field: corruption, terrorism, crimes, and poverty. Our leaders who are

supposed to guide us were now responsible on digging us layer by layer into the treacherous

ground of poverty.

Justice is blind. They only favor the rich. The marginal sector which is composed of more

or less 70% of the people deprived of a fair and just justice system. Look what happened to

Ampatuan massacre, the prime suspects were acquitted of the bloody and heartless murder.

What's the root cause...POWER.....? They are gluttonous of power. Power is directly

proportional with MONEY. With these sources of evil, innocents are affected, victims suffers.

Hmmm...What was the DOJ secretary said? "There was no probable cause." Of all the lawyers

who followed the case, he was the one with a thick face who said that the Ampatuans are

innocent considering all evidences and witnesses. And the bloody murderers still have the nerve

to have a press con without the jury's permission.

This incident just strengthens my belief that the present administration and all those who

are in power can never be trusted. I sympathized with the victims and there families. They have

died for nothing. With such incidents’, you can't help but discern with the pernicious and unjust

manifestation of governance with our country. The government imposed laws. Thus, these laws
should be followed. But, how can we be a faithful follower if even those who constituted the

laws don’t fear the law?

In my opinion, the justice system is the mirror of the government. If such justice system

isn't trusted by it sovereignty so does the people in the administration can't be trusted. Fairness

and equality should be imposed. From this day, we only have 15 days to decide who will run the

next 6-year term in the government. Would the next president imposed such equality and

diminished the crocodiles in his or her term? Will he/she be brave enough to protect the welfare

of his people? Will he/she be fair? Or would he/she rather have a detour of his promises?

For me, I'll choose the one who crushed the evils of the government and let true and clean

justice be served.
